are the routines that most churches adopt meaningful?

At the Second Church of Odyssey you'll find different ways of expressing your beliefs, finding prayer support or being encouraged through regular devotionals.

Church is a place where you go to be with fellow christians & worship Christ together. You are supposed to spend time alone with the Lord each & every day, but also to go & be in fellowship
with other christians too, so that you can all learn & grow together in God's special family. Church isn't necessarily meant for you to have an overwelming feeling of God's presence &
power, but he does want us to have that experience. Matthew 18:20 says, "Where two or more are gathered in my name, God will be with us." When you go to church, you are supossed to go
& worship. have you ever stopped & just realized what an amazing God we have?! There is so much that he has done for us & given us, & we can offer him so little, but one of the things
that he asks us to do is worship his name! (Psalm 99:3, "Let them praise his great & awesome name: he is holy.") When you go to church, & you sit in the worship, close your eyes, & let
the holy spirit live & flow through you. You may feel like dancing, you may feel like crying, or you may just want to lift your hands to heaven! But it it is possible to realize why you
go to church. If you just open up your eyes to see.

Wow, I did not want all of that to be about worship, but that's what it turned out to be!
