Probably not; that parody had scenes of direct mass destruction. Left Behind, if it stayed true to the books, just had nots of plane crashes and car accidents and stuff, not all the waves of divine inferno.

It was about a week before his statement last time. But last time he actually had already said that the second part was coming on October 21st. This time he said that this was going to be the very last day. Something tells me he doesn't have the humility to come out and say, "Well, I guess I was wrong. Sorry to all you people who sold your homes, cars, and lives because of what I said. Oh, and all those people who killed themselves because of me...God rest their souls. Heh-heh." He dug himself into a pretty deep hole.

Jeopardy! had a clue mentioning this tonight. And even though it was probably recorded before the 21st the clue said it didn't happen on October 21st. If they'd been wrong nobody except the people who there would ever have known. ;)

I don’t buy it. Of course he’s saying he’s wrong, he has no choice. When it didn’t happen in May he has an ‘explanation’ in pushing it to October, but after that didn’t happen there was absolutely nowhere for him to go. If he was really open to realizing he’s wrong it should have happened a long time ago, not when he hit the ultimate dead end.

-shrug- Some people have to find these things out the hard way. I too doubt his sincerity, but if he did learn, he probably learned for good.

Now, because I just said that, watch him put a new date out there for the rapture. :roll:
