What books are you reading?

"Books? You want books?! Ha! We've got books on hairy otters, on onions and on mars! All the fungus you could care for, plus, three triple zillion stars. The one about Stephen. I just started it last night. So far, it is really good.
But, then again, all of Dee Henderson's books are good! :D
The thing I really liked about the O'Malley books was the brotherly/sisterly relations. They all loved each other to death! 8-)
I agree! It's great to see how they interact, and the fun they have, yet they're still so protective of each other. The changes in each of them seems to improve the group instead of driving them apart.

I'm currrently reading "Beyond the Summerland" by L.B. Graham. It's pretty good, but not my absolute favorite or anything.

I'm reading "Mango Season". It's about an Indian woman who moved to the U.S. when she was 20 to grow up some more, get a good job, experience, etc. She returns to India 7 years later and has to deal with her family and everything she left that seems so dirty and old now that she's been in the US. Plus she's got an American fiance which is grounds for getting your buns kicked out of the family....

The author is an Indian woman but I'm not sure if this is fiction or a sort of biography...maybe fiction based on her experiences. Anyway, it's good.

I just started the fourth Corrie Hollister book.

:hmph: Lucky! We ordered ours a while ago from Amazon, but since we don't live on the city it won't be coming until the 19th (since they only mailed it yesterday).

I ordered it from Amazon as well, which they also shipped yesterday... but as part of the deal when I ordered it, if I didn't receive it today it would be free.

I had pre-ordered mine at a local bookstore and picked it up at midnight.

Cold Mountian. It was turned into a movie with Jude Law and Nicole Kidman, the book came first off course. It's alright...nothing particularly special in my opinion.

I guess that deal only applied to people in certain areas. Do you live on a city?

I do live in the city, but I know it applied to some smaller towns as well. They had a drop down box and you entered the first three digits of your postal code... it would then tell you whether or not you would be eligible for the deal.

If I remember correctly, it said I wasn't. Blah.
Oh well, at least I was able to read 2/3rds of the first chapter of someone else's book (I'm such a geek!)
