Progressive Rock

Spock's Beard, Glass Hammer, Neal Morse, Mike Portnoy, etc.

Here's the place for discussing music, plays, YouTube videos, and any other media that doesn't quite fit in the other sections of Harlequin Theatre.

Yup, I really enjoy Spock's Beard and the reunited Transatlantic. I have some older CDs as well from Genesis (when Peter Gabriel was with them) and Yes. Currently, my favorites are Salem Hill (Neal Morse did a duet for their most recent studio album) and Porcupine Tree -- even if PT is a little dark at times.

Glass Hammer's "One King" is very, very good!

Genesis and Pink Floyd are probably the only progressive rock bands I know...and I'm not sure I really like either of them...Phil Collins is pretty good though.

Well, Genesis, and Pink Floyd, are some of the founding fathers of Prog.

I really don't listen to much of Spock's Beard, just when my dad plays it. Same goes for Transatlantic. I like Glass Hammer and Neal Morse's solos much better. My favorite Glass Hammer album is "The Inconsolable Secret." I've not heard of "One King."

Prog Rock is probably my favourite genre. I love Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull, King Crimson, and Rush.

My favourite prog album would probably be In the Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson.
