"Oh no. No no no no no no no no no... this is bad, this is very bad, this is really, really bad! They just can't get my nose right!"
"I know not who you are, nor how I came to find you, but may I just say.... Hi..."
"You should know that this is the strangest thing I've ever done!"
"Frying pans! Who knew, right?"

Thanks :) I'm not sure exactly what "piano grade" I'm in. I started taking lessons when I was like 7 or 8 and took every year til I was like 15. Then I stopped because I was taking violin lessons, but I kept teaching myself piano and then started taking summer lessons again. I think I've been playing the piano for about 10 years :)

I'm in grade 6 currently, with Canada Conservatory, and doing level 3 theory.

I just completed Grade 5, and we're doing a little bit of grade 6 before the summer. I really like it, especially Fur Elise!
The song is great, cellogirl!

That sounds really good!!

When I quit piano I was doing grade 10, but I didn't take that exam because I quit practising technique after my grade 8 exam because I hated scales and arpeggios and chords and I knew that I wasn't going do another piano exam. I really did not enjoy piano at all until I did the grade 9 repertoire and I liked that, but even then, I didn't love it.

What are these grades you speak of? Is this a Canadian thing or something?

That's what I was wondering. I've played piano for 4/5 years but I've never heard grades mentioned by anyone.

Same here... All I know is that I've played for about 10 years...

Good job, cellogirl. I enjoyed it.

Well I know there are different levels. Like when I played I only got to beginner level 3....then I stopped taking lessons. =\
