They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard!

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

That was... interesting.

When I first saw the topic, I thought it said "They're Taking Hobbes To Isengard!" :-k

Lol. Someone emailed that to me about a week ago. Now I can't get it out of my head.

Totally awesome, though.

Since this thread is basically about nothing, I wonder if we might turn it into a fitting discussion.

Namely...

Do you think Orlando Bloom did justice to Legolas? The vibe I get from some people is that the acting of Orlando Bloom was more annoying than Jar Jar. Personally I think he did a really good job.

I think he did rather a good job.

As to the comment about nothing, did you chance to click on the link in the first post, and listen to the song?

One of Bloom's best jobs yet. I was very happy with Bloom in that movie, as well as in Pirate's. Although, it was mostly because Depp was there as a countercharacter to Bloom to balance him out. If there was no Jack Sparrow, I would have hated Bloom/Will. Heck, I would have hated the whole movie.

You know, STRYPER, just having you around again brings on good discussion topics. :) Too bad I'm retired. :( Ah well, it was fun visiting you guys this weekend for a bit, I had some extra time. ;)

Lol, STRYPER. At least you're not alone. Sort of. I got only the audio in my email a couple of days ago, and never noticed that the link here was to a video until today. :anxious:

I also agree with those who thought Orlando Bloom did a good job... I can't imagine anyone else playing Legolas now.

Though I think the entire cast was amazing.

Orlando Bloom was awesome as Legolas, although he hardly had any lines in TTT (I looked at the script) and he would sometimes say something that was kind of funny. O:) Overall, I thought he was perfect as Legolas, although after watching PotC, I got a different impression of the actor... :p >_>

He he, that was funny.

Like shadowpaw said: I could never imagine Legolas being played by another person. And although the script was twisted so that many of Legolas' lines went to Aragorn (especially in ROTK)... annoying writers... I still think that OB did Legolas justice. :)

And he's not a pretty boy. :P

Orlando Bloom did an excellent job as Legolas. And he was not annoying. Not at all like Jar Jar.

Jar Jar was.....awful. *shudders*

I think Orlando Bloom did a great job as Legolas because, frankly I think that was the most difficult character to play. The reason being is how do you play an elf whose senses are more acute then human senses. Not an easy task.
