1. Is it true that if you rearrange the letters in mother in law, they come out to Woman Hitler?
yes but it is also true that you can rearrange the letters in mother in law to and they come out as "raw lint home"
2. Why do companies offer you "free gifts?" Since when has a gift NOT been free? gifts have not been free since April 17th, 1876 [/b]

Here, this is a good one.
1. If a General is a higher ranking officer than a Major, then why is a major illness worse than a general illness?
This is one I've really always wondered:
2. Are children who act in rated 'R' movies allowed to see them?

SUPER JEREMYCARTWOOD!!
Actually this is accurate. If a player does not cross home plate the run does not score. Hitting a homerun over the fense only enables you to get to home without the other team stopping you.SivartM wrote:2. No. The fence wins.Jeremy Cartwood wrote:Here's one I've wondered all my life:
2. If a baseball player hits a home run over the fence, but then dies before he can run around the bases, does the home run count?
-JC
If you watch all the walkoff homerun highlights there is always a homeplate umpire standing to watch for the player getting mobbed that he actually touches the plate. If he doesn't, the run wouldn't count either.
The Gospel:
Holy God in love became
Perfect man to bare my blame
On the Cross He took my sin
By His death I live again

On the Cross He took my sin
By His death I live again
2. Is "cute as a button" supposed to be a compliment? Since when are buttons cute?
--
Actually, the CORRECT answer to THIS one is that buttons are "cute", just not on our clothing. On women's clothing, buttons are usually delicately designed, especially if it's a business suit or semi-formal wear. They have intricate designs and many of them vary. They are considered "cute", hence the phrase, "cute as a button" alluding to when buttons were commonly "cute."
