Trekie or Warsie?

Post by tatertotaggie »

Ok, so we all know that sci-fi is divided into two camps. Those of the Trekies, and those of the Warsies (something I just made up to call Star Wars fans). If you like both, just pick which one appeals to you at the time. So, it's time to face the inevitable and choose which side you are on. Resistance is futile, so may the Force be with you!

Neither, really... ;)

But, I do enjoy the Star Wars films far more than Star Trek... though I'm not really a "Warsie"...

I'd prefer star wars over star trek any day, but I'm not a crazy fan or anything. :)

I don't know if I'd really consider myself a "Warsie", but I definitely love Star Wars, and hate Star Trek! ;)

Hm... In my family it's both Star Trek & Star Wars. Did you know that the weapons in Star Wars could totally vanquish the Star Trek universe?

I think Star Trek was supposed to be more realistic and scientific. Lucas wanted Star Wars to be more fantasy and make believe.

What's really great, I watched a short film about a Star Wars nerd, and it's unbelieveable. These two Warsies had gone to a comic book store, and entered three Trekies. A name calling fight ensued and they were kicked out. So, people who are really into it can take it pretty far. There was also this documentary of when everybody was lining up in theatres for weeks to see Episode I, Trekies were marching and holding up signs that read "Phasers Stun, Blasters Kill," lol. It is funny to what extreme people can take it all. Well, everyone have a good day!

Definitely Star Wars, though I don't think I want to be known as a "warsie." ;) I think my current sig and avatar provide a decent reason as to why I like Star Wars!

I'm a Trekkie or Trekker...whichever one would be associated with TNG.

My kids on the other hand are all Star Wars nerds big time. Right now they've been obsessed with the Star Wars miniatures game from Wizards of the Coast.

How 'bout a "neither" option?

Because I'm not into cult followings.... ;-)

No, really, I just don't get enough into fantasy (be it movie, book, or tv) to be called any nickname of the sort.

I'm certainly the farthese thing from a nerd. However, I watched both quite a bit. Star Treck, I've watched a few of the movies, and I watched the old shows all the time when I was significantly younger.

Star Wars; I don't talk about it, but I certainly enjoy the series quite a bit.

Definitely a Woogie.

I thought this was a poll between animals... a Trekkie and a Warsie? Sounds gruesome. :anxious:

I like Warsies better, but Trekkies are ok. They drool a lot, though. =P~ =P~
they may be copper,
annoying little coins! but,
they might be giants.
