Narnia Question

Post by poWerbOy »

I just thought of something when i went to see the movie the other day. I thought about the fact that there is Christmas in Narnia, but where did the holiday come from? We celebrate Christmas (at least it originally came from) the birht of Christ. But that didn't happen in Narnia. so where does the holiday originate?

It took me a few minutes to think about it. But I think I came up with a decent enough answer.

Well, since King Frank originated from our world in "The Magician's Nephew", I assume he took the custom and simply applied for all Narnians at the beginning of the world. I suppose for them, it isn't really celebrating the birth of Christ, but simply a celebration of togetherness, joy, and festivity.

Wow, you're smart! It would have taken me like an hour and a reread of 3 or 4 of the books to figure that out ::snorts at self::

Hmm. I never really thought about that. While they are part of a story which is Christian, they are not really Christian themselves.
