Anyone who's a DGL fan...

Here's the place for discussing music, plays, YouTube videos, and any other media that doesn't quite fit in the other sections of Harlequin Theatre.

Down Gilead's Lane-- I want spoilers!

Post by Rachael Blackgaard »

Do we ever find out what Grace's story was? I've been listening online at oneplace, and I just want to make sure we find out what happened to Grace at some point.

EDIT: PM me if you don't want to ruin it for everyone else.

To make a long story short. Tom Richter was driving drunk and caused the car that Grace and her parents were in to hit a tree, killing Grace's parents on impact and blinding Grace. Tom's father took over Grace's care and told Tom to forget what had happened. Tom's father sent Grace to a school for the blind in New York. After talking to Mr. and Mrs. Morrison Tom goes and visits Grace, although what happens at that point is not mentioned. If you listen to the last episode of season 4 The End of the Beginning, you will hear the story and it is ALOT better than this summary.

That's what she was talking about when she said the kids weren't ready to hear it? What on earth is wrong about the kids hearing that?

The adults thought the kids couldn't handle it at the time.

The way I heard it is that Mr. and Mrs. Morrison wanted the kids to wait and let the story reveal itself.

Yeah, sorta, but it sounded like they thought they couldn't handle it, which I thougth was kinda stupid, but hey, my opinion didn't make much difference did it? O:) O:)

I never said that your opinion was stupid, you did. I am just stating my view on things.

His driving under the influence killed two people. That's good enough for a manslaughter conviction.

Ok. I know his dad covered it up, so perhaps that's why. Also, the police report said they swerved to avoid hitting an animal.

If my memory searves me correctly I believe it happened sometime during the trial when that Doc was on the stand. but it did say that Grace's parents swarved to miss an animal that much I am sure of.

That sounds right. It has been a while since I listened to Season 4.
