I really like this clip. It even has some classic AIO to it.

She left many of us behind. She left us heartbroken. And though we cry now there'll come a time when we'll laugh. Because we'll see her again someday. We'll be with her in heaven. And when we go to heaven she'll be there to greet us. She'll be there to say "Welcome home." -From a poem that SnC wrote about her grandmother

I'm not finding Darien a particularly good actor. He sounds very mechanic.

better than Kyle, anyway. But I think my favorite characters are Anna, The Old Judge, and Colonel Oliver.

The acting by Kyle is definitely not AIO-quality, IMHO. Many of the actors on radio dramas which are recorded outside of Hollywood and with far less talent than AIO (like Jonathan Park and Down Gilead Lane) are better than Shane Baumel. Kelly fits Rachel Fox better than Anna, as well. The rest of the casting is fine (Audrey Wasilewski as Princess Michelle is great!), but Kyle and Anna are the main characters of the show; there's barely a scene without one of them, and they don't sit well with me. I have been noticing these acting problems more as I listen to each part individually rather than when I listened collectively, though.

I'm finding that listening to it on the radio isn't as good an experience as listening to it straight through on CD. It's about five parts too long for the AIO weekly broadcast, and it's hard having to get back into the groove each week. In some episodes not a lot happens, and there's not always a climax at the end of each part.

Oh, and I love that part in one of the shows when Anastasia says that they'll call up Kyle. LOL!

I like the audio verson so much better than the book. I wonder how much they will have of the conversation between Jack and Whit in this last part.

Just for those who weren't aware--Darien is not played by Townsend Coleman (Jason Whittaker). He's actually played by Roger Rose, who just sounds exactly like Townsend. ;) It's incredible, though, how the script and even the way he talks is just like Jason. At least we know there is a great replacement for Jason, if they ever need one. \:D/

After season 50, it's more like they need to find a good replacement character for Townsend Coleman, but the similarities between their voices weirded me out.

Just finished listening to all nine parts at long last, and am glad I waited to listen to them all at once instead of weekly. I'd really like to know which character Quinton Flynn played. That name got my attention during the cast roll.

Seeing how good they did at picking replacements for Bart and Whit, they probably won't get people who sound like who they replace. ;)
