Does it really say "Brendon McFarland", or does it just say one of the two?

=D> That's amazing, Bren. How did they use your name? Was it just a chance, or was it a conspiracy of some sort? :-s

They recognize awesomeness when they see it. \:D/ In all seriousness, I don't know why Nathan chose to use me but I'm happy he did.

I have heard the episode. And they do say his name. I believe Barrett says it.

Emily does, but I'll let that slide.

Warning: review contains a spoiler.

I liked this episode--a good, solid story about the importance of doing the right thing. It went a bit deeper in explaining just what repentence is, that it involves confession and seeking forgiveness. And it was all wrapped up in an appropriately interesting mystery.

The one drawback: I was disappointed when I learned Jay was the culprit. The whole scam seemed a little too advanced for Jay. I mean, I could see him trying to run a cheating scam, but one that involved a high-tech camera and breaking into the back of a locker...well, I was hoping for someone else--maybe an adult or a ring of cheaters. Or maybe I've been watching too much Law and Order.

I agree with that. I mean I doubt Jay could have handle something so big.

I was actually surprised that this ep turned into a mystery. Granted, I wasn't happy hearing from Emily, but it was a somewhat unique mystery with the sorta/kinda culprit in Barrett helping or rather hiding the fact that he cheated.

Have you guys noticed this has been the third show this season with Olivia and Barrett teamed up? What happened to Priscilla? Although I do think Olivia and Barrett play off each other quite well in a way that is somewhat different from Barrett and Priscilla, I miss hearing from her.
I was really thinking that Vance was going to be the one behind the cheating. It doesn't really make sense for Jay to set all that equipment up. He may not be dumb, but he's not that smart. It also make Jay seem more one dimensional like Rodney, which doesn't add up to his good guy side we saw in Mistaken for Good and Groundhog Jay.

I totally agree about the chemistry between Barrett and Olivia. I like them together way more than I ever liked Barrett and Priscilla. The scene where Olivia pulls Barrett aside to tell him that she saw him erase a record from the file was amazing. Kelly Stables nailed the emotions in Olivia's voice in that exchange, I thought. I would love to hear something develop between the two of them. Even if it's just a really good friendship.

I think Jay is smart enough for the scheme, I just think he would be too lazy to do it. Jay's the kind of guy who would come up with a simpler method of cheating.

I really enjoyed this episode. I liked hearing how Barrett's internal conflict developed and the emphasis on forgiveness. The episode has a creative title as well.

I caught the shout out to Reddo while I was listening and just now learned that Bren was also mentioned. Nice.
