Thanks for the compliments! :D That was a hard one to do because it didn't have any ambiguity in it, so I'm really glad it turned out.

Sorry it's taking me so long to complete these orders. Apparently I didn't accurately take into account school's time-consuming nature. The price will stay the same, but I'm taking off the one-week almost-promise.

Miley Cyrus wrote:See You Again

I've got my sight set on you
And I'm ready to aim
I have a heart that will
Never be tamed

I knew you were somethin' special
When you spoke my name
Now I can't wait
To see you again

I've got a way of knowin'
When somethin' is right
I feel like I must have known you
In another life

'Cause I felt this deep connection
When you looked in my eyes
Now I can't wait
To see you again

CHORUS:
The last time I freaked out
I just kept lookin' down
I st-st-stuttered when
You asked me what I'm thinkin' 'bout
felt like I couldn't breathe
You asked what's wrong with me
My best friend leslie said
"Oh, she's just bein' Miley"
And next time we hang out
I will redeem myself
My heart, can't rest till then
Whoa, whoa, I
I can't wait
To see you again

I got this crazy feelin'
Deep inside
when You called and ask to see me
Tomorrow night

I'm not a mind reader
But I'm readin' the signs
that you can't wait
To see me again

Chorus

I've got my sight set on you
And I'm ready to aim

Chorus

Whoa, whoa, I
I can't wait
To see you again
Alas and alack – an assassination plot gone wrong!

This man was her next target, but when she met him and he knew her name, she knew everything had changed. Why? Because she went by a pseudonym and no one knew her real name! Wary, she kept a close eye on him, determined to solve this worrying twist, but instead, she fell for him!

The chorus describes a time long ago when she used to get nervous and “freaked out” all the time. Since then, however, she has been a very steady, calculated person without emotional outbursts or displays of how she is feeling. Thus, her feelings now are very atypical, and, thus, she trusts them.

Ironically – and unbeknownst to her – he is also a hit man and is targeting her!

I think LizzieG said she wouldn't do Christian songs.. but I could be wrong.

As I&L said, that wouldn't be a very good song to interpret... we all ready know the meaning clearly, I hope...

Exactly! Although, I must say that it would be rather hilarious if, say, it was interpreted with Toby Mac being made to love fuzzy socks. Hence the reason his 'feet hit the cold floor' xD.

Cough :anxious:. Anyway....

I will do Christian songs, but it depends on the song; the more worshipful it is, the more hesitant I am to give it a new interpretation. I just reread the lyrics, and I would rather not do Made to Love. Sorry.

If you have any questions about any other songs, though, let me know :)

I apologize for my long absence. Unfortunately, it will last until sometime next week; I've been working on an 8-10 page research paper and a fiction story, both of which are due this coming week.

I will try to get caught up soon after that. Thanks for your patience :)

Sure thing! But first, here is Catspaw's interpretation for "The Belly Button Song" that she has been waiting for ever-so-patiently:
Veggie Tales wrote:The Belly Button Song

Mr. Lunt: Baby I know your eyes see right through my disguise
Boyz: (Larry, Jimmy, Junior): And no one can deny
Mr. Lunt: Baby that I’m the one whose love is no surprise
Boyz: And he can’t tell you no lie
Mr. Lunt: But there’s a secret I’ve been hidin’ I can’t keep it no more
Boyz: There’s this thing about himself he’s never told you before
Lunt: Baby!

Chorus:
Boyz: He needs to tell you something
Mr. Lunt: I don’t got a bellybutton
Oh I need to tell you something
Boyz: Have you figure it out
He don’t got a bellybutton
Boyz: Bellybutton no, oh no no

Mr. Lunt: Baby please don’t squeal, just tell me how you feel
Boyz: ‘Cause his love is for real
Mr. Lunt: And if you went away, my heart would never heal
Boyz: So to you he appeals
Mr. Lunt: There’s something missing in my middle and it’s hard to ignore
Boyz: There’s this thing about himself he’s never told you before
Lunt: Baby!

Chorus

Khalil: Bellybutton!
Boyz: Uh, uh
Khalil: Bellybutton!
Boyz: Uh, uh
Khalil: You say your bellybutton’s missing, there’s no reason for alarm
It’s a common thing for gourds, it won’t do you any harm
You’re technically a fruit and with that much being said;
Your umbilical equivocal is up there on your head!
You could opt for a prosthetic but of course you’d have to know
It’d be covered by your shirt, but not your HMO
Khalil: Bellybutton!
Boyz: Uh, uh
Khalil: Bellybutton
Boyz: Uh, uh

Mr. Lunt: a stylish something absent from my midriff’s décor
Boyz: There’s this thing about himself he’s never told you before
Lunt: Baby!

Boyz: He need to tell you something
Mr. Lunt: I don’t got a belly button
Oh I need to tell you something
Boyz: Have you figure it out
He don’t got a belly button
Boyz: Belly button no, oh no no
Lunt and Boyz: No belly button!
This song is a karaoke last-chance appeal to an estranged sweetheart. Suspecting that her recent distance was because she had guessed his secret, Mr. Lunt got together a motley group of friends to help him boldly proclaim his defect [of not having a belly button], and that it shouldn't affect their love.

He even got a supposed expert (Khalil) to come up on stage and back up his claims, but this "expert" was actually a fraud with a cruel streak who proceeded to call the hapless Mr. Lunt a "fruit" (the height of insults!), and implied that he was odd enough already that not having a belly button couldn't possibly make matters worse than they already were.

The reason everyone now knows this song is not only because it is the most unconventional love song ever written, but also because it actually worked! After this heartfelt-but-awkward performance, his darling rushed on stage, declared her undying love, and proposed marriage (which was, of course, accepted).

Everyone was baffled and touched at the same time, and whenever this story is repeated, the hearer almost always respondsd with an incredulous shake of the head and a, "well, God bless 'em both...I guess."

Disclaimer: None of the men who tried to jump on the bandwagon and use this song to effect relational reconciliations were successful.

That "Belly Button Song" interpretation was amazing! Do you actually watch VeggieTales to know that song, or did JIA inform you of its lyrics and plot?

Neither, actually :) I didn't tell JIA until later that I had spent some of the car ride interpreting it. I actually printed out the lyrics before I left school, and used a handy spiral notebook to write down my interpretation. I've seen a couple Veggie Tales videos and know some of their songs, but as for this one, I didn't know the context (other than what the lyrics indicated).

I didn't mean to confuse you- I guess there was no context. The silly songs usually have no correlation with the surrounding plot.

Say, can you interpret the Hairbrush Song silly song from VeggieTales?

Fabulous interpretation, Lizzie - thanks so much! :D That's hilarious. I hope that you have a chance to hear the song one day, because it is a funny song! I'm so glad that the song reconciled the couple so perfectly. :inlove:

Taylor Swift wrote:I was riding shotgun with my hair undone in the front seat of his car
He's got a one-hand feel on the steering wheel
The other on my heart
I look around, turn the radio down
He says baby is something wrong?
I say no nothing I was just thinking how we don't have a song
And he says...

[Chorus:]

Our song is the slamming screen door,
Sneakin' out late, tapping on your window
When we're on the phone and you talk real slow
Cause it's late and your mama don't know
Our song is the way you laugh
The first date "man, I didn't kiss her, and I should have"
And when I got home ... before I said amen
Asking God if he could play it again

I was walking up the front porch steps after everything that day
Had gone all wrong and been trampled on
And lost and thrown away
Got to the hallway, well on my way to my lovin' bed
I almost didn't notice all the roses
And the note that said...

[Repeat Chorus]

I've heard every album, listened to the radio
Waited for something to come along
That was as good as our song...

Cause our song is the slamming screen door
Sneaking out late, tapping on his window
When we're on the phone and he talks real slow
Cause it's late and his mama don't know
Our song is the way he laughs
The first date "man, I didn't kiss him, and I should have"
And when I got home, before I said amen
Asking God if he could play it again

I was riding shotgun with my hair undone
In the front seat of his car
I grabbed a pen and an old napkin
And I... wrote down our song

Could you do this song for me? You don't have it written down on your original post.
