Click here to hear a neat little (4:43 min) thing recorded at Whit's End in Colorado Springs! It's Dave and his friend Lisa, an intern at the time. It was recorded in 2003, and it hid in our car for the last 3+ years. ;)

It's an MPEG4 file, so if anyone can't get it I can try to make it MP3 or whatever :anxious:

Thanks, Darcie! :D

Has anyone called Whit, "sir," before? :anxious:

"I wonder if Mr. Whittaker has any more pencils to sharpen." Haha.

I'll post an MP3 version shortly...

It really is amazing the things I find sometimes... It and Ep #500 had been in our glove compartment all this time! I didn't even know, as I was not on that trip. I only gave you the main part actually- they split it up in separate tracks, so there were wrap-arounds with Chris and an intro to the story right before this. :)

I'm not exactly sure what that question meant, but the male actor is David Griffin (aka Jimmy Barclay) and the actress is... not an actress but a former intern with AIO named Lisa, as I said in the first post. :D

I downloaded this yesterday but forgot to listen to it until just now. :anxious:

It's quite funny...and interesting...I can't quite picture 20+ year old Jimmy riding a storefront horse ride. :noway:

What exactly was the reason for this, Darcie? Did they have anything in mind for it, or was it just some random thing they decided to record?

 Because he was visiting and it seemed like a fun thing to do! The "episode" was not by choice... someone else who's been there can probably tell more about how the experience works than I can. And it wasn't Jimmy... it was Jaime! ;)

And my reason for sharing it... pure silliness. :D

Oh, I get it! #-o So it was a thing for kids, right? They had pre-recorded stuff of Whit and Connie and then anybody could come into a booth and record the other two parts. Sort of a "you can play a part in an Adventures in Odyssey episode" kind of thing. That makes sense! \:D/

Hmm...wish I would have known about it. I could have done that when I was at Focus on the Family earlier this summer. :(

Exactly right! The first track is actually Chris, and she asks them questions to have them introduce themselves and how old they are. Then she does the show intro.

I guess there's a window so the other visitors can see the people that are inside recording. I heard there was a bit of a crowd that day. Actually, it was summer 2003 and Mel Gibson was there at the same time screening Passion, so there were a lot of people around in general. ;)

Yes, he saw Mel. :-$
