Episode Ideas

Slice of Life, Action, Suspense, Comedy, or Whatever.

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

Episode Ideas

Post by GJ »

I didn't see a topic for this here, though if I would continued digging I might have. :p Anyways, I thought this would be fun to do now, because I'm active now, as oppose to years ago when the original ToO gang already discussed this.

1. A comedy/action episode where Jason is a counselor at Camp-What-A-Nut. Similarly to the OAC episode that just was released, the dude is put in charge of a group of kids and attempts to command them diligently while meeting their individual needs. During this time, the kids, (there's got to be at least Parker) and Jason, grow in their faith even with a few obstacles along the way. I'd love to see Jason handle a severely stressful situation and not be the victim.
Is this ever going to happen? Maybe? Hopefully? I don't know but a girl can dream. 8-)

2. Connie becomes involved with Christian Conference, working as a youth leader of sorts, and ends up bringing down one of the members who was embezzling money that belonged to a charity. I've seen this happen in real life, and don't think it's commonly discussed. There are Christians out there living in hypocrisy and hurting people, and this episode could address the fact that we have an instinctive to look at someone's outward appearance and persona before knowing truly knowing their heart. Having Connie to be the one who recognizes the bad guy is not all he's made up to be, is important because I do think the show has downplayed her strength before.

I have a plethora of other dream episodes, and most are unfinished in my mind. So if you have any and want to them discuss them, or even critique mine, please do! :)

I like both, but I really like the second one... since Connie can be overdramatic at times I could see whoever she tries to tell about what she suspects will downplay it and think she's jumping to conclusions.

But both are awesome ideas! \:D/

Most of my ideas involve bringing back dead characters. :(

There's definitely a few I miss. Tom, June, and Bernard....all make for excellent mentors. I like how they were wise, though not necessarily in the same manner. They could help different people with different issues. We've lost that.
