The Town of Odyssey

I'm hosting a photo-a-day challenge, and thought I would share it here in case some of you wanted to participate.

Lady Belle started a fabulous idea called Flat Eugene. Basically, how it worked was, you print and cut Eugene out (link here), then take pictures of him in various places. For whatever reason though, it didn't really take off. People were interested, but didn't actually do it. Later we created an Instagram account (@flateugene), but still not much participation.

Soooo, I'm hoping this "photo challenge" will give people enough incentive to kick off Eugene's travels. Because this idea is just too great to give up on!


If you can't see the image, here are the daily prompts/themes:Those who participate will have a chance to win this Eugene T-shirt (featured below)

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

- Flollow @flateugene on Instagram!

- Download, print and cut Eugene out (link here)

- Take a photo of Eugene based off the prompts given for each day in July!

- Share your photos using the hashtag
#FlatEugenePhotoADay

- Our favorite photos will be
highlighted daily on @flateugene!

If you don't have an instagram, feel free to share your photos here! or email them to [email protected].

Note: Prize eligibility is for US residents only.

PLEASE change the Instagram rule! I'm not allowed to post anything on Instagram but I will totally participate in the contest, and upload the daily pictures to Odysseynerds and right here! Starting right now! Excuse me momentarily as I print out a Eugene.

I will probably fall under the category of people who thinks this sounds like fun but will not follow through but I will try to participate at least once! I don't use instagram, but could still post a picture.

All right, to maximize participation I will not make that a rule. Those who don't have an Instagram can either share through facebook or email them to [email protected]. And if you are on the ToO, then you can share them here.

Also you do not have to do every single day, but the more you do the higher your chances are of winning. Annnd, if you happen to fall behind, that's okay too, just as long as all of your pictures are submitted by the 31st, you will be good.

Haha, yeah, I'm kinda in that category myself. It is quite the commitment, but I'm going to try and do as many as I can.

And yes, you should! Even if it has nothing to do with the event, I'd love to share your photo!

Is there a more detailed explanation of the different places or is it just whatever we interpret it as?

I love this idea by the way, and I'll do my best to participate! The T-shirt is awesome

Can I send the pictures to the Instagram account @flateugene via DM instead of posting them and using the hashtag? I have a private account and it doesn't show pictures posted on a private account using a hashtag

Haha, those are fun, Mariogeek! I was a little bit worried about paper Eugene's future at the campfire, but he seemed to still be unsinged by the next picture.
