Music-themed episode next season!!

*proof inside!*

Whit's wiping down the counter, Connie's mopping the floor, and the kids are sipping on their milkshakes. If you want to talk about Adventures in Odyssey the radio drama, this is the spot to do just that!

Music-themed episode next season!!

Post by The Top Crusader »

My secret informants have uncovered this special song that shall be in the next AIO season! :-k

The Ballad of Whit and Ham

Verse 1:

Old man, in a small town
Always smiling, never revealing a frown
But years ago, his Jenny died
You’d never know, but so many nights he cried
Until one day, God had a new plan…
That’s the day that Whit met…

Chorus:

Ham! Ham! Ham!
They go together like peanut butter and jam!
Whit and Ham! Ham! Ham!
No other meat could make him complete!
Nothing like Ham! Ham! Ham!

Verse 2:

Odyssey found it all a surprise
For ham was a meat that they did despise
How could Whit marry this food?
It couldn’t be prudent! It couldn’t be good!
His friends, they just couldn’t comprehend…
Perhaps Whit had finally reached his wit’s end…

They don’t know love! They don’t know truth!
They won’t believe without some more proof…

And they don’t know… the love Whit has for…

Chorus:

Ham! Ham! Ham!
They go together like peanut butter and jam!
Whit and Ham! Ham! Ham!
No other meat could make him complete!
Nothing like Ham! Ham! Ham!

Yayness! I love spoilers! \:D/ Hey Toppykins, do you have any info on who will be doing the singing? Will it be a touching number performed by Whit himself, or something a bit different, like Eugene and Connie doing a duet or something? :-k

I can't quite put my finger on it, but for some reason I feel like I read that song months and months ago. :-s It's the strangest thing... ;)

Ladies and gentlemen, a Town of Hall Odyssey Boards tradition.
"Sonuna" Taranimak ("Sonuna" Sharkquill) has been content lately. She admired own very fine Bed recently. She talked with a parent recently. She talked with a friend recently. She had a good meal recently. She admired a fine tastefully-arranged Desk recently.
She is a citizen of The United States of America. She is a member of The State of Minnesota. She is a member of The Town of Odyssey.
"Sonuna" Taranimak likes Bauxite, Copper, Green jade, the color navy, cloaks, ballistas, cats for their aloofness and hydras for their seven heads. When possible, she prefers to consume Dr Pepper and ramen.
She lives at a relaxed pace. She tends to avoid crowds. She has a fertile imagination. She is completely disorganized. She is very distant and reserved. She tends not to openly express emotions. She needs caffeine to get through the working day.

Must just be a case of deja vu, I'm sure I never posted it before... :anxious:

But anyway, the plan is a special mystery guest vocalist is going to sing it... its rumored to be Michael W. Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, or Marylin Manson! \:D/ However, Will Ryan will do a cover of it on the next Eugene CD.

I think you PMed it to me right around the time that I was invited to Whit and Ham's wedding. \:D/ I don't think you posted it, but I did read it!

Hmmm...it will be interesting to see which special guest they get. :-k I'm a big MWS fan, and he has done some FOTF related stuff, but of course Shadowpaw has the big SCC connection that could help FOTF land him to do the song. And he is known for having a famous wedding song - this could be his second wedding hit! \:D/

Woah what a great episode that will be! I guess they held it over until next season or something, after the hiatus. \:D/

Yay! You found your beautiful, soul-touching song! \:D/ It's just as good the second time around! Finally your wife has a chance to see just how talented the man that she married truly is. You should write it out in ccalligraphy for her next Valentine's Day present. :inlove:

It would be really awesome if they had Jess Harnell sing it underwater.

Was this ever actually recorded?
I found this:
Catspaw wrote:I just found the ballad of Whit and Ham on an old computer we were about to get rid of the other day, but I forgot to post it! Thanks for sharing this epic classic yet again, Top! :D
But I can’t tell if she means she found a text copy or an audio file.

I meant a Word file. To the best of my knowledge, this was never recorded. :(

I look forward to this song finally being used in an official capacity! \:D/
