Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer

I wasn't a huge fan of the first Fantastic Four movie, but this one looks like it has potential...

I wasn't a big fan of it either- but I saw this trailer yesterday, and it actually looks like it might be good. :-k

Yeah. I think the FF are cool characters but the movie changed all their personalities and was weird. Hopefully #2 will get them moreso to their comic book roots! \:D/

Why does half of the comic book related stuff nowadays have to do with the rise of something. And I was always under the impression that the silver surfer was good. >_>

I thought the first one had potential, but apparently it was a flop. (I've not watched, and plan not too.)

It was an interesting trailer, I think that's the first time I've seen a trailer that showed an entire scene (chopped and cropped no doubt) but I think it was great, and it left you on a cliffhanger note.

I think, generally, movies are getting slightly better. (artistically) I am just waiting for writting, plots, and acting to follow, and for the scripts to be clean.

Yeah, so was I... which is why I asked...

So is the Silver Surfer a good guy from outer space, or some evil mastermind bent on world domination? Tell me!!! :x

Looks like he was bad, and then became good.

Was the Silver Surfer in Marvel vs. Capcom 2?

Then I'm afraid I don't know the Silver Surfer as well as I thought. :(

What about "the Silver Streak"? Is that some sort of character?

I actually kind of liked the first one...
I probably won't see this one in theaters - I'll definitely rent it, though.

I'd just like to note that I told my boss at work (who's really into stuff like Thor, Iron Man and such) and now he's told me he's been watching the trailers like twice a day.....I guess he's a big Silver Surfer fan.

They were shooting the movie this fall in Vancouver (where I'm living right now). Yesterday our guest speaker at the Film School I'm attending was the prop-master from it (and also the X-men movies). It was sweet because he brought in some of the props from his movies and we all got to try on Wolverine's blades. We also got to handle a replica of the "X-phone" and some other cool stuff.

I liked the first FF alright, I haven't seen previews for the second but as long as all the original cast is in it, I'll be seeing it. I don't have sound on this computer so I can't see the preview! :sniff:
