Jonah!!
I have it on DVD! It's a lot of fun! I like how the stay true to the story while having such great additions.
"Ping pong! I can play ping pong!"
"I'm coming, travelling buddy!"
There's so many great lines in that movie! Some of them are heard in our house almost as often as AIO lines!
The DVD is great because there are three commentaries as part of the bonus features, and one of them is with Larry and Mr. Lunt! It's so funny! They're talking about how they really made the movie, and how their film "Socks With Stripes" went over big in France, and all this wacky stuff. It's definitely worth watching if you rented the DVD, EK!

I watched it, but ahd some problems with it:
1. Kahlil was a muslim type person! Eek!
2. Kahlil was in the whale with Jonah. As that's symbolic of Jesus being alone in the tomb for three days, having the little muslim caterpillar was a problem.
3. The end where they say Jonah didn't get it. Hopefully he did, and that's why he wrote the book. (At least we think he did.)
But other than that, I like it as an entertaining movie!

His Indian accent (wonderfully voiced by Tim Hodge) was not indicative of any religious beliefs. He kept referencing God, not Allah.Bearliz wrote:1. Kahlil was a muslim type person! Eek!
First of all, I don't think Kahlil was a "Muslim" caterpillar. Really, you might want to ask yourself, how many of the Bible stories which Veggie Tales portray are exactly identical? Did Jonah really bring his floatie with him?Bearliz wrote:2. Kahlil was in the whale with Jonah. There was a reason why Jonah didn't get it, and they explained it at the end of the movie. In fact, how Veggie Tales ended the story is precisely what occurred in the Bible, with Jonah being "angry enough to die (because the plant died)!"Bearliz wrote:3. Great commentary, Trent. Exactly correct. Jonah never did get it.Trent DeWhite wrote:His Indian accent (wonderfully voiced by Tim Hodge) was not indicative of any religious beliefs. He kept referencing God, not Allah.Bearliz wrote:1. Kahlil was a muslim type person! Eek!
