I decided to vote that I liked it. It was good, but, I don't know, I wasn't thrilled all the time with Raoul and the Phantom. I like the originals better, as well as... whoever did it when I saw it in Toronto. I don't know who played Raoul, though Paul Stanley from KISS was doing a guest appearance as the Phantom! But it was still a great film, they didn't do a bad job. The casting of Christine was superb.

I've never seen it, but I've heard good reviews from people who've seen it. Not sure if I'd enjoy that kind of film . . . but you never know. :-s

I visited the website. I watched the trailers and all of the video clips. I listened to the music clips over and over again. I looked up the song lyrics. And... *hangs head* I read the script.

I haven't even watched the movie once.

But from all of my "research", it seems to be a great film (and play). I really want to watch it one of these days, however.

I'm jealous. All my orchestra friends get to go to New York this weekend to see it on Broadway. I've never seen a broadway play *sigh* maybe...one day... I will.

The Phantom lived up to expectations... did not surpass, but great nonetheless. So many of the reviews said the visuals were distracting; I thought it was very appropriate and in some cases quite original. Good integration of the music into the scenes, overall.

People, this MUSIC is phenomenal. It has shaped a lot of our culture, definitely not something to miss. Interesting that some of the songs come off better just listening to the orignal recording, and some ("Point of No Return" being one) come off better in the film.

If you enjoy soundtracks of any kind, or classical music at even the smallest level, you should own this CD:

Not out on DVD until May 3. Rats.

*in operatic song to the tune of "Angel of Music"*
I really liked the soundtrack recording,
But cause of the, PG-13 rating...
My dearest parents said no thank you,
Hope I can see it someday.....

Hmmm...wish I could make sound files and I'd sing it for yous. Oh well. I really really like the music...have the sheet music...have a bunch of friends who really like the music too, and get this: one of my cute little girlfriends who's in third grade said that her class went to see the Phantom of the Opera musical onstage at the community college as a FIELD TRIP!!!!! I said WHAT???? A field trip! Not only did they not discuss the musical or it's morals, but they.....aaaaahhhh!!!!!!! I cannot believe it! My little friend said that she didn't like it and when Christine and the Phantom kissed everyone in their class said Eeewwwww!!!! These kids have no sense of musical appreciation, or of good acting...aaaahhhh! So I fumed around the house for the rest of the day...what are our school systems doing to our children these days?

Okay, enough. Frank is going to bed now.

I loved that piece of film and music. I music from the movie run through my head at least once a week. I've been writing a song lately that flows into "Think of me" so that's been the song for this week.

I really liked the movie and want to get it on DVD. Very cool, very stylish, loaded with class, and most excellent music... it was good.

I give it an 8.9 out of 10 on a very hard grading scale.
Not dead yet.

Ughhh. My friend has the soundtrack...she's coming over to my house next week or so. I'm telling her to bring it. I can guarantee that she'll be sick of hearing it by the end of the weekend...

It was awesome. I totally was rooting for Rual! (sp?) The Phantom was a stalker! He had a lifesize doll of her in his little home and a shrine! AHh! Gimongous warning signals in my opinion!

I loved the roof-top scene with "All I ask of you". That song rocks my socks!

I just saw it recently. I forgot how good the songs were. The Movie itself wasn't that powerful, but some things were good about it. the actor for the phantom was good, as well as the other man. The woman didn't even sing for her own part, and so I wished they couldv'e gotten a better actress...or at least one that didn't have the same expression on her face the whole were through.

I enjoyed songs such as:

''Music of the Night''
''Think of me''
''Masquerade''
''The Phantom of the Opera (rock version)''

Overall, however, not bad of a movie. It was just like an opera version where they keep signing even though one of them was dying. That's the most halarious thing when I watch those on stage.
