Real-Time Strategy Games

Post by Samwise »

I love strategy games, the only problem is they can be addicting. I have StarCraft, Age of Empires II, Empire Earth II, and Rise of Nations.

Age of Empires III is coming out, the graphics look extremely good...

I want that game a lot... Battle for Middle-Earth seems like a great RTS.

I'd love to play BFME someday . . . a few years ago, I was really into Age of Empires. I purchased both AoE and AoE II, plus their respective expansions. I would've gotten Age of Mythology, but by that time, I was more into xbox and gamecube. :D

My favorite strategy game is Starcraft. Without doubt. Empire Earth, too.

I played online against my friends today- and argh, I must say I strongly dislike naval battles.

Empire Earth II is coming out!!!

The only ones I own are C&C Generals with the Zero Hour expansion, and BFME. Both are incredible games.

Hey new person. Sup?
You've got the welcomse from this hizzy, with no doubt. Try not to die during your stay. It happens.

About RTS... Starcraft is one of the top 5 games of all time. Age of Empires II is probably the second best RTS. I am totally stoked about Age of Empires III. It's going to be 1337!!!!! The graphics shown in the screenshots are spectacular. They constitute one more reason to upgrade (rebuild and/or make new) my computer this summer.

I've played Age of Empires a little bit. When I did I've sometimes played it for so many hours in a row that it's all I can see when I close my eyes and then I dream about it all night! ](*,) It's NO fun when that happens. Makes me never want to play it again after a restless night like that. [-(
But I eventually recover. :-$

What group do you like best in Age of Empires two? I like the Britons the best for ther bowmen. I also really like the Chinese because everything is a lot cheeper with them. I dislike playing against Persins becuase of the War Elephant but a few monks solves the probely. And what level do you play at? I play random maps against 6 people and one allie with it set on moderate. Sometimes I will play on hard.

I have always liked the Byzantines. They have a very good technology tree.

As for favorite special units, I do really like the chinese with their Cho Ko Nu. A few of those things can take out just about anything save for several Paladins or Mangonels.

Britons, likely said, because of their bowmen. Saracens also do well due to their . . . um . . . anti-calvary units. I haven't played Age of Empires II in years. 8-[ I also enjoyed playing with the Byzantines. Gotta love anti-building units. :D
