Contacts Or Glasses?

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Glasses! \:D/ I've never had contacts - I can't stand even the thought of trying to get them in and out of my eyes. I just got new glasses last week, but I'm still trying to adjust to the new prescription. :x That's the worst part.

Contacts aren't that bad, Laura. Once you get adjusted to them, it's great! Yeah, adjusting to a new prescription is never fun. :(

I just got contacts, and I love them. \:D/ But glasses are good too.

I have 20/20 vision but I need reading glasses  I can't stand the thought of ever needing contacts. I can't even put eyedrops in my eyes so contacts would never last.

I always cringed at the idea of putting something on my eyes, but I despise glasses cause they're a pain, not to mention I needed to learn to wear them for jobs that I'd be applying to...it was awful for the first few days, but now I'm great with them. I don't look straight ahead when putting them in...I look up so I can't see that there's something going into my eye, so it works pretty well! Just a tip in case anyone has a hard time with the idea of it!

So, I've never had contacts just because I'm to lazy to take them in and out every day but, I recently found out from an optometrist (err... ophthalmologist?), that even if I wanted to, I probably couldn't because I have, get this, over sensitive corneas. Eye drops bother me for the same reason. So, ya, I'll be sticking with my old-fashioned, nerdy glasses, thank you. They get the job done, just fine. :shades:

I've had glasses for almost a year now, and I might try contacts at some point. But I highly doubt it.

I tried contacts for a bit, they were a little annoying, i'm used to wearing glasses so it's whatever.

I wish I could wear sunglasses without having to be blind or get prescription shades though. ;) That's the one inconvenience...plus losing glasses is a lot more expensive than losing a contact.

I've had glasses since i was one year old and finally got contacts this summer. In my opinion contacts are totally better! Once you get used to putting in/wearing them that is. It took me a while to get used to how I look without glasses, but now I think i look better with contacts. So yeah glasses get a 2 1/2 and contacts get a 5!! (out of 5)
