Thor: the experience was choked by having to watch it in 3D.
Seriously, why do so many people think it's so great? I actually would have been able to enjoy the movie more if I didn't have to wear the uncomfortable glasses and get a headache.
Other then that, the movie wasn't... bad. It was incredibly predictable, though, and was barely captivating in terms of a plot line. Visually it was another stunning accomplishment of CG, but I'm quite tired of movies that spend their huge budgets on creating the most complex visual effects and give the script writers whatever is left over. Good plot > visual effects. Not that the plot was
bad... it just wasn't great, and the script was littered with the most predictable lines you can imagine.
Of course, this is all coming from someone who barely knows anything about the Marvel universe. I imagine all the comic fans and people who actually know the story behind Thor will appreciate this movie far more then I did.
And I admit; the concept that all these Marvel characters exist in the same world with plot threads that mix the movies together makes me excited for the Avengers.
