George Lucas will be the consultant for these, so he will still have input. And if the reports are true, the scripts are his, he just never got them on screen.

Sure, Peter Jackson did a good job with Brain Dead but he has been a terrible director since. King Kong was decent only because it followed the origial movie and had a man with a giant nose in it. Keep him away from Star Wars, though.

Well, it depends on whether or not you're a LotR hater \:D/ I've known quite a few people who think PJ completely ruined the films....others like to gush over his skills as a directer (based on that series) :shrugs:

Both Treebeard and Gollum quoted him. \:D/ One part from The Two Towers was the part with Old Man Willow, also.

Or rather, Gollum quoted the Barrow Wights... with whom Tom was involved. So close enough.

Yes, I know, I'm such a fan. :p Really, parts of the book is quite boring for me. I am determined to get through them though.
The Hobbit was interesting enough though. I had to return it too soon, which stunk.
And now it's turned into a LOTR discussion.

...Granted I've never even seen Star Wars, I probably have no say in this whatsoever. However, I think this is getting overrated. I mean, can't they just leave well enough alone? It's one thing to turn something such as a classic children's novel into a beloved movie, such as they have done in the past, and been very successful with. But, once they make something, and do the same thing over and over, completely butchering the one before it each time, or changing the ideas, or going with the first option on the list because all they wanted was to make a quick buck in Hollywood, not a quality movie, it begins to get tiresome...

However, that's just me... >_>
