If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!
We did this last year and most of the others wanted to do it again this year. They have just opened it up again for this year, so I decided to create a ToO league. If anyone else is interested then I encourage you to join.
From last year's thread
Invisible Ninja wrote:Would anyone be interested in joining such a ToO league? I think it's safe to say that very few, if any, of us know what we're doing (even if I sound really smart, I'm not ) so your "But I don't know anything about Aussie football. I'll be creamed!" excuse is invalid.
Also, pretty much all you have to do is pick your players (like 33 or something) and then you're good for the rest of the season. If you want you can substitute and trade players in-between Rounds, but that's only if you want to.
That's basically it. Pretty easy, a fun new sport, and a new way to compete with the ToOers that you know and love!
Does anyone think that sounds like a fun thing to do this summer?

I joined and created a team, but I know almost nothing about the players.

Sure it would! Last year I literally picked my team and then just let it sit there, I didn’t make a single change because I have no idea what I should be doing. But that doesn’t mean it’s not fun!

Well that doesn't mean you can't learn about it.
Here's a link to the Wikipedia article about Australian rules football if you're interested.
And as bookworm said you don't have to know that much about it for it to be fun. In fact I think it would be more fun if more people from here joined as at the moment there is only four teams, and if we don't have the full 18 complete teams we will be put into another league that will likely have better teams in it. So the more people that join from here the better the competition will be.
I'm not trying to push you into joining but it be a lot more competitive with more ToOers.

Exactly.

Did you put your real name on ESPN?
Any contact info is just for the contest thing you might win if you’re good at it. You can put all fake stuff if you just want to compete in the league.
