The Television Archives (TVA)

Post by bookworm »

Welcome to The Television Archives (the TVA, for short), a new section of Harlequin Theatre! \:D/

We have an index of movie threads, it's only logical to have one for TV shows as well! I asked AE if he planned to make one and he said he didn't have the time to put it together, so I took it upon myself.

Here's the deal:
1. All the topics specifically about individual television shows have been listed here.
2. If you want to start a discussion about a show check the TVA FIRST because we may already have a topic about it. This way you won't miss out on reviews others have already written about the show!
3. If your show is not listed here, go ahead and start a new discussion! You can then pm me a link to the new topic to be sure it gets included here if you want, but you don't have to because I'll be watching for new threads so I should catch it.
4. It may be helpful for you to highlight the title you're looking for by using Control F on Windows or Command F on Mac.
5. "The" is always dropped from the title. For example, The Flash is categorized under "F".

Frequently Asked Questions:

Won't this cause bumping of topics created several years ago?
Yes it will, that's precisely the purpose. By being able to easily locate existing threads and simply continue those instead of making new ones we will not only eliminate unnecessary, unneeded, and superfluous redundancy and repetition, but people interested in the show will be able to see the thoughts that have already been posted before in addition to the new ones that will be shared.

Why do we even need Archives?
To ease the process of posting about a show. Now you don't have to wonder if there has already been a topic made about it and either spend time trying to track it down or just make a new one that takes up more space and splits discussion that should be contained in one thread. You can easily check if there is an existing thread on the show and post in it if there is and make your own if there isn't.

What if there are already two topics about a show?
Some series, like Doctor Who for example, have many threads made about them. In these instances I have attempted to identify and link to a 'main' thread on the show. This means the thread that either has the most content, if there are various startups, or the thread that is most directed at inclusive general discussion on the show as a whole, as opposed to threads made to discuss only specific aspects or moments.
