Looks nice. Never been the biggest fan of the solo Thor films but since Hulk is there (and Jeff Goldblum!) I'm a little more excited about this one, plus the trailer looks fun regardless. The director has said this will have more humor in it than previous Thor films, which is fine with me, gets the tone of the MCU better.

The trailer does look like fun! I liked the first Thor movie better than the second one, but they were both plenty good enough for me to plan to see this one in theatres, even if somebody's gorgeous flowing tresses seem to be shockingly absent! :sniff:

I was just about to post that, but had a feeling you would Top. :)

Like Top, I've had a nebulous disconnect preventing me from really caring about any of the other Thor movies, but this one looks like it could be promising.

Is it a girl thing? :anxious: Some of us just like looking at Chris Hemsworth for no apparent reason :inlove: but I am curious as to why I like this movie more than some people, apparently.

The first Thor was what got me into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And seeing a glimpse of Tom Hiddleston as Loki - I squealed all over the hotel room I was in. Good thing my mom was out of the room at that time ;) This is going to be fantastic. Sure, Marvel has had its up and downs, but I'm still very excited for the up and coming films. And until Wonder Woman comes out, Marvel still reigns in my mind, lol!

I like Thor as a character, and he's fine when he's doing things on Earth, but the stories over in Asgard just haven't connected with me so far. I don't know particularly why, thus the description choice of 'nebulous', it's not that they bored me, they just didn't interest me.

Pretty much same here... I like Thor on Earth and with the Avengers, but could never get into all the funny Asgard rainbows and such.

If you need a reason to be excited for Thor 3 I highly suggest watching Hunt For the Wilderpeople. It's going to be the same brilliant director Taika Waititi. This is definitely my second most anticipated movie this year behind Star Wars.

Edit: Just saw it tonight. Definitely in the top 3 Marvel films for me easy \:D/ Just two hours of fun.

It's good to hear a positive review already! :D I'm hoping to go see it next weekend. The trailers have really brought the fun, so it's good to hear that the movie delivered!

Yeah, great movie! \:D/ I already saw it twice because I don't have to pay for movies anymore. \:D/

Winter Soldier and Civil War are still my top 2, but this is fighting for 3rd place with GotG.

Great to see a Top approved Thor movie; hoping it means I will like it too when I get around to it since our feelings on the series have been pretty aligned thus far! :)

I saw Thor 3 today and really enjoyed it! They definitely bring the fun, as the trailers indicate, and the plot is decent. It went a bit of a different direction than I expected, but not in a bad way. I didn't leave thinking it was the best thing ever, but it was quite good, and I would see it again if another friend wanted to go.

Unfortunately, we totally underestimated how busy the theatre would be and showed up right at showtime, only to find the theatre almost totally full, so we got stuck in the second row, which I always think is too close to entirely appreciate a movie, but it did look pretty good on the visual side of things (you know, beyond the obvious, like Chris Hemsworth's face....) O:)

Hey, on the bright side, you got to get really close to Chris Hemsworth's glorious mug.

Well, there is that... :inlove: And it's not like Tom Hiddleston is hideous either. :inlove:

...Not that I'm super shallow or anything... :anxious:

But it really was a good movie!

I thought all the girls would be swooning over Doug. :(

I really liked it a lot as I said, but as much as I enjoyed the tone overall I thought it was weird that:

Thor's three BFFs were killed really quickly and Thor never even got to yell, "YOU KILLED MY FRIIIIIIENDS!!!" or something. They were just never mentioned again, and no mention of Sif being away on a business trip or something.

Oh yeah...Doug was so dreamy. :anxious:

I totally agree with Top on the spoiler thing. I forgot to mention it in my post, but that also really surprised me. I get they were going for a lighter tone overall, but that seems kind of important.

I got to see the movie the other night, and somehow, ran into both the youth group I went to for a while, and my chemistry teacher. :o

It was hilarious, sort of unlike Guardians of the Galaxy though even with that. Hulk looked a lot more lifelike than he has in previous movies, I noticed. There was also some great development from Thor, and he can a little underrated.

The spoiler thing, Top, yes! It might have taken longer yet missing out on that spun the movie in the direction it went.
I kind of wonder if Thor was still close to them at all, but even if they drifted apart, they had grown up training together. It is strange they wouldn't mention it. :?
Des and Troy were the best, honestly.
