The Valley of Gwangi

Post by bookworm »

I recently found out about this neat old movie, anyone else ever heard of it?
It combines one of my favorite movie genres, Westerns, with one of my favorite movie franchises, Jurassic Park. So it's like my favorite movie ever now. Not really, but I do think it's really cool. Brief plot synopsis is some cowboys find a valley where dinosaurs are still alive and try to put one in a circus with predictably bad results. It features the work of stop motion master Ray Harryhausen if you're familiar with him.

Always love Ray Harryhausen!

Been a while since I've seen this, but it was on TV fairly often back in the day when TBS and TNT would show random monster/dinosaur movies all the time, and even later than that, AMC used to show more older stuff of that nature, but alas no more. I think I caught it on Turner Classic Movies not horribly long ago, though.

I think I've seen the Bluray at Best Buy or Amazon for around $10, though. \:D/
