It’s not making fun of it, the show is very tasteful. And there actually were real behind-the-fence operations going on in WWII. Not of this magnitude of course, but there were activities.
But yeah, there is a huge difference between concentration camp and POW camp. I saw an old interview with Werner Klemperer (Colonel Klink) and when asked about that he stressed the distinction very strongly.

Anyway, this is probably my second favorite old tv show. It’s really great.

Woah. This many people love Hogan's Heroes? Sweeet!
My favourite character is Klink and Hogan, of course. Klink is just too hilarious not to like.

Seriously though, I love Hogan's Heroes. \:D/ My best friend introduced me several years ago, and I fell in love immediately. Newkirk is definitely my favorite character, but I harbor a special affection for LeBeau as well, because he's French. :inlove:

Oh, LeBeau is a pretty interesting character, too.
We ripped through all 6 seasons non-systematically in like....a couple weeks.

I love Hogan's Hero. Only they do treat females a little ahem callously.

Hard to pick a character, but the best actors are Bob Crane and Werner Klemperer. Their chemistry is stellar and their deliveries are absolutely hilarious!

I think it's time to bump this thread again! Calling all Hogan's Heroes fans who didn't get to post previously, or have more to share!

To me, this is a show that I can watch over and over again and still enjoy. There's something really engaging about the characters and the humour. Some shows have episodes that blend together, but to me these still each stand distinctive.

I haven't watched any episodes for a while, but I have all the seasons on dvd.

And I merged this thread with an older one on the show so there are more thoughts here now than there were before \:D/

The image won't load, which makes me sad, because the description sounds both hilarious and Top-tastic!
