I'm looking forward to this almost as much as M Night Shyamalan's new movie Lady In The Water!

I haven't seen the first one yet and this one looks good.

Did you know that both Sequels II and III were made at the same time? And that III is coming out in December?

I knew that they were making the second and third ones at the same time, but it would be odd for them to come out so close together. :-s Releasing one in July and one in December seems unusal. The IMDB has POTC III listed for a 2007 release, not 2006, though they aren't necessarily always up to date. Where did you get your info, COT?

I have heard of the POTC, both one and two, I'm not sure as to the whole MEANING of it. Overall, I've heard it is pretty good. But then again...what is it rated? I'd have to find out more about it.

Again, I've heard it's good.

I just saw the first one for the first time this summer, and it was quite good! :D I think it's rated PG, though sometimes Canada and the USA rates stuff differently. I haven't watched it in a while, so details aren't coming to mind, but there isn't anything really bad in there.

If you're interested in a detailed, somewhat conservative breakdown of stuff, check out FOTF's Plugged In review. I use it as a resource to briefly see if there's content that I would strongly dislike more than solely as a recommendation system.

In the US it's rated PG-13. Amazing pirate flick.

They'll deffinatly mess up the story; though, I'm not completely sure. I mean, sequals from Disney have never worked out (unless they're from Pixar), and from that guess, it's a done deal that this won't work out.

That isn't to say that it won't make a lotta money. And sure, it'll be funny, but I don't see the originality or the storyline coming back. Who knows, though? Surprises occur all the time.

Hopefully, it'll stir up enough profit and desire to complete the third.

There are several things that I think will actually make this a good movie.

1. This isn't just Disney deciding to do a sequel. I've heard that they were planned from the very beginning.

2. On another forum, I know a guy who worked on pre-viz for these two films. He also happens to be very picky about movies. According to him, these are actually rather amazing.

If it was just Disney then sure: major doubts

But this is a Jerry Bruckheimer film. I have very little doubt that it will turn out quite nice :D

If it's by Jerry than it most likely will be a good story. \:D/

One of my friends told me and she seemed to know what she was talking about. (Slightly fanatic if you ask me.) :anxious:
