Nanny McPhee

"When you need me, but do not want me, I must stay. When you want me, but not longer need me, I must go. Rather sad really."

I saw this Thursday evening. I liked it a lot. It was a kid's movie but was enough to keep me entertained. [And kid's movies usually do.] I liked the overall message and Colin Firth and the kids they had acting.

Thought it was pretty flipping sweet.
This movie has been out for a while, but I didn't see another thread like this. If there was another one though, I could just lock it! O:)

I saw an ad for it, and I thought that it looked like it could be good! Some time this summer I might rent it, I suppose. With JD's recommendation, how can I resist? ;)

Ya, he was very handsome in this movie! :inlove:

And all the kids were really cute.

I finally saw this movie! \:D/ I saw it today, and enjoyed it very much! \:D/ It was fun and interesting, and the kids were really cute. And Colin Firth isn't a bad person to look at, either. ;) I was surprised to see Angela Langsbury in the credits (which were very fun, by the way!) - I hadn't realized that she was Aunt Adelaide!

There were a few moments where I wished that they had gone for a more child-friendly viewihng experience, but overall it was quite good! Thanks for the recommendation, Jennifer! :D

Whoever you are, young lady, I demand that you stop winking at me! :x

Ahem. Yes. It was a fun movie to go and see!

Mr.whit, there are a few minorly inappropriate scenes, but nothing really bad. :) However, if you want to avoid the movie, feel free to do so! :)

I'm guessing you're avoiding it for reasons other than a fear of inappropriate content, though. ;) And that's fine, too. It's not like it's a class must-see.

My siblings liked it better than I did. I liked Colin Firth and the kids, but the house was much too blue (and green, I suppose) and the cook was just scary. I particulary didn't like the scene when Mrs. Quickly came to tea. Also didn't like the children throwing cake at the end. I guess it was cute.

I agree about the tea scene. :( I would have liked the movie overall a lot better without that scene, or at least with it being done differently. That's where most of that content that mr.whit was concerned about came from.
