I was waiting to hear whether the team subforums should be showing up before taking care of that, but now I have my answer, so it will all be done soon. 
Yes, it was that way in the past, but when I went to remove the previous CoP I noticed that apparently I had made myself the leader of the group last term, so I just left it. It really doesn't matter.
