Election Results - Term 24 Edition!

Everyone,

It's hard to believe we are now ready to bring to power the twenty-fourth administration team! After about a month of campaigning, one team emerged with the funds necessary to compete for the administrative crown. A turn-out of 44 votes were cast in the Twenty-fourth Town of Odyssey Election, including 2 absentee ballots.

Samantha14 and American Eagle will be your new admins, with 35 votes yes for their leadership, including 1 absentee vote, and 9 votes no, including 1 absentee vote.

The winners will be hopefully be appointed to their posts tonight (Monday evening). The moderators will be decided in the near future, so keep your eyes open for that announcement! Congratulations.


Just so you know, the poll thread is located here. This thread was created to easily identify the election results (in the same way we did for past elections) and the poll thread has been subsequently moved to City Hall for archiving.

Ahaha, thank you guys so much. I will admit, I was nervous. And still am. I know I'm new, and a lot of you don't know me very well. But I hope over this summer I will have the blessed opportunity to get to know each of you, and will be able to serve you to the best of my abilities. Thank you for all of your kind words and support, we couldn't have done it without you. ^_^

And to ~JCGJ~ and Young Link: Thank you for a great race. I'm sure you would have been fantastic admins as well. I look forward to seeing what you continue to bring to the boards, with or without admin powers. You guys are really awesome.

Let this record be entered in the ToO Historical Timeline:
May 6th, 2013 - Samantha14 becomes the youngest, in board time, elected admin at 5 months and 13 days.

This is, of course, excluding the first few Elections which, because they were held shortly after the board opening, had candidates at shorter board times. This isn’t a record of the literal board age in days of the candidate, but of the general unknowness. The candidates in the early Elections, though technically ‘new’ to the ToO, as everyone was then, were known by the community from the Town Hall.

Yeah, he doesn’t count because he’s an NPC. And even if he wasn’t he still wouldn’t, because he wasn’t really elected, the voting was rigged.
