How do you have so much time to read a lot of books? Are you a fast reader?Woody wrote:I'm currently reading a lot of books, including Return of the King, Crocodile Tears, Among the Barons, and The Mysterious Island

I completely agree. And the cover art is awful.Knight Fisher wrote:Alcatraz Versus the Scrivener's Bones. Brandon Sanderson Is amazingly annoying for a great author.

It depends on the book really. If it's an awesome book, like Alex Rider, I finish it in two days. If it's a slow-moving, somewhat boring book(*coughLOTRcough*), it takes me like a month. >_>

Alex Rider is awesome, I even liked the movie. I have read the series honestly 5 times. Not specifically read any books but this last week at work (@ a library) I found some interesting books that I don't remember the titles of that were pretty good.

I'm reading Terrorist Hunter by Anonymous. She investigated radical Muslims in the US before 9/11. It's really fascinating and scary to read how many signs we missed during the '90s till 2001, partly from complacency and partly from agencies not sharing information with each other.

YES. They have made their way into my top 5 series. I'm currently working on Book 8. OH! Did you hear he's writing another one about Yassen Gregorovich?Stop Wooton' Around wrote:Alex Rider is awesome, I even liked the movie. I have read the series honestly 5 times.
My biggest complaint about the movie was:

Woody, I know what you mean about LOTR. I love Middle earth history but it was a struggle to get through LOTR. My favorite book from Tolkien is The Children of Hurin. Have you read that yet? It's a faster paced book that doesn't get bogged down with detail.
Oh, right now I'm reading The Letters of J.R.R. Tolkien and my Batman comics.

I just read They Call Me Mother Graham. It's a shorter book, but I loved it!

This week I read:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday
The first 39 Clues series(I had to read it so I could explain to kids at the library what it was about when I help them find books..)
Tuesday night:
The Fault in Our Stars By John Green, pretty good..
Currently reading
Mozart's Ghost, Mr. Penumbra's 24-hour Book Store, In the Garden of Beasts, and Anna Karenina

I got some new books yesterday.
First would be all three books in the Mysteries in Middlefield collection. And then I got Taken, by Brock Eastman.
I'm currently in the middle of book one in the first of the MiM series.

merp.
I finished On Distant Shores by Sarah Sundin, it was excellent. Up next for me is Love Still Stands by Kelly Irvin. It is the first book in her The New Hope Amish series/trilogy. Ms. Irvin is one of my favorite authors so I'm looking forward to reading this one.
"Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test a man's character, give him power." Abraham Lincoln
I'm currently reading "Deadline" by Randy Alcorn. He's quite an author.
