Happy Pi Day!

3-14

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

I didn't even realize today was pi day until my meeting today with a retired actuary who is giving me Calculus II help.

That's amazing, Whitty! But wouldn't it make more sense to have pi year be 3-14-16?

Pi is 3.141592[enter more numbers that I don't have memorized for infinity], so 3.14.15 does make the most sense for pi year by the order the numbers fall in, but if you want to round, you could celebrate two years in a row! \:D/

I always forget about pi day until I go online in the evening, which means that I already missed most of it. :( Next year somebody needs to start this thread a day or two early. ;)

It's just that 3.1416 is closer to pi than 3.1415 is. Ah well.
