ToO Fantasy Football - Pick Six Clique

Old thread; use current one :)

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

6 Hours. \:D/

It feels weird to not be going for Calvin Johnson this year. :(

For the first time I am very pleased with my draft results! (Which isn't to say it's the first time I've had good results. The last two seasons I had very good results in hindsight, but at the start I wasn't impressed because I don't know anything about this as I've always admitted. But this season I'm on board right away.) I got several of the names on my list to my surprise, and the autodraft picks after them look quite good. Other than where it decided to completely waste a round by picking someone who is going to be out for at minimum literally half the season. I really can't believe it did that. Like I really can't believe it. But on the whole this is definitely a positive initial roster to start building my lineup from. And I got my main man Rodgers for the fifth year! He is definitely my franchise QB.

My draft results (Picking 5th of 8):
Odell Beckham Jr. (NYG) WR
Aaron Rodgers (GB) QB
Allen Robinson (JAC) WR
Thomas Rawls (SEA) RB
Brandin Cooks (NO) WR
Dion Lewis (NE) RB
Julian Edelman (NE) WR
Golden Tate (DET) WR
DeVante Parker (MIA) WR
Arian Foster (MIA) RB
DeAngelo Williams (PIT) RB
Ameer Abdullah (DET) RB
Allen Hurns (JAC) WR
Zach Ertz (PHI) TE
Cardinals D/ST
Justin Tucker (BAL) K

Preseason moves:
Moved Lewis to IR
Dropped Abdullah
Added Vikings D/ST
Added Terrance West (BAL) RB
Trade with gia: Hurns and West for Devonta Freeman (ATL) RB
Added Ladarius Green (PIT) TE to IR
Added Graham Gano (CAR) K
My opening roster:
Starters:
Aaron Rodgers
DeAngelo Williams
Devonta Freeman
Brandin Cooks
Odell Beckham Jr.
Allen Robinson
Zach Ertz
Vikings D/ST
Justin Tucker

Bench:
Thomas Rawls
Julian Edelman
Golden Tate
DeVante Parker
Arian Foster
Cardinals D/ST
Graham Gano
Dion Lewis (IR)
Ladarius Green (IR)

My schedule:
Week 1 - vs Constantinople Chrysostoms (JC)
Week 2 - vs American Eagles (AE)
Week 3 - vs Seattle King's (gia)
Week 4 - vs Texas Staleys (KF)
Week 5 - vs Bench Coolers (Eugene)
Week 6 - vs Mr Cheesehead (Almanzo)
Week 7 - vs Winoka Warriors (Laura)
Week 8 - at Constantinople Chrysostoms (JC)
Week 9 - at American Eagles (AE)
Week 10 - at Seattle King's (gia)
Week 11 - at Texas Staleys (KF)
Week 12 - at Bench Coolers (Eugene)
Week 13 - at Mr Cheesehead (Almanzo)
Week 14 - at Winoka Warriors (Laura)
Week 15 - vs Constantinople Chrysostoms (JC)
Really bizarre schedule this season; it's all the home games in a row then all the away games.

Scoring question: If a team tries a field goal and there's a bad snap or something and they abandon it and try to convert instead, does that go down as a failed kick for the kicker? I wouldn't think so, the play should change into a fake even though it wasn't intentional which isn't on the kicker (right?) but I'm not sure because their scoring makes some other illogical choices.

I couldn't find anything specific on it but I believe no. I'm pretty sure it doesn't count as a miss unless the Kicker kicks the ball.

The West leads the East by 34 points after one week. \:D/

EDIT Week 3: Somehow AE and I managed to have more points on our bench than in our starting lineups.

I saw that and was stunned. At least we know we have depth. \:D/

I would have won if I had started my bench players. :noway:

We have incredible parity this season... currently five teams with a record of 5-5.

Yep and Laura is really scary. She has the second most points and has 79 more points against than anyone else.

Alshon Jeffrey has been released if someone wants him for the playoffs. I'm washing my hands of this Bears team. :P

CON vs AE is the third tie in league history and the second under the Bench Points tie breaking rules.

Interestingly the rule change from most Quarterback points wins to most bench points wins hasn't made a difference in either game that was tied since that change.

If all goes as currently projected we will have a 5 way tie for first place going into the last week of the season. With only 4 playoff spots.

Congrats to Cheesehead on making the playoffs!
