Looks like fun to me! I was quite curious as to what Martin Freeman's character (whose name I have forgotten and therefore refer to as Bilbo or Dr. Watson in conversation) was up to at the end of Civil War, and at least based on his trailer appearance, it seems like we should find out more in Black Panther!
Looking good! I'm still not totally sure about that one guy (the one that looks like the bad guy) but this looks like it should be interesting and fun and a little different!

Anyone see this yet? I haven't.
I wasn't really excited about it (they kind of had to since its out in May, but I kinda feel having Infinity War trailers out a while before this just makes me want to see THAT instead of this) and its probably overhyped but the reviews are pretty good so I'm getting more interested.
It's pretty good. Good villain. Score is Ben Hur meets The Lion King so that was cool. It's tough to follow up what has been two of my favorite MCU films in Homecoming and Ragnarok. That's said it's probably top 6-7 Marvel movies for me.

I've heard lots of good things but I really love the Olympics, so I wasn't really seeking other entertainment the last few weeks. My brother and I are planning to go on Saturday and I'm looking forward to it.
I really enjoyed it! The story line was well written and rich, and it was funny at times without it feeling forced. Also, the music, yes. It wasn't a movie without its faults, but the things they talked about I thought were handled pretty carefully.
The second after credit scene I wish were longer, but it was just an after credit scene. And Shuri and T'Challa's relationship was amazing, one of the more realistic sister/brother ones I think I've seen in a movie. They both brought a lot to the table, bickered each other only because they could, but did everything to look out for each other.

My brother and I finally made it to see Black Panther and really enjoyed it! We both agreed that it looked beautifully done without being overdone, and it was a great story. There were a few surprises along the way (at least for me - my brother claimed to have predicted one of the things that surprised me) and a great story. It also felt more like it's own separate story than some Marvel movies, though of course it will end up being part of the Infinity War behemoth.

I finally saw it and liked it well enough. Black Panther and his sister are likeable characters and Wakanda is all technologically advanced, but it makes them all look silly when their leadership is determined by "big fight at Cliffside" and any weirdo can stroll in and win a fight and take over, no democracy, no way for the seemingly powerless advisors to over ride it or something.

Especially since this movie has been made a big deal about by being a positive representation of black culture. They all fight and kill each other at the drop of a hat, and are divided into tribes with silly stereotypical traditions! Maybe it's a good analogue to Chicago gang battles or something, but due to the specific hype I was expecting something more positive. >_>
I watched the movie for the second time today (first time since I saw it in theatres) and I still enjoyed it, but to me it isn't a Marvel favourite. I love the brother-sister interactions and other family dynamics, and I was glad that I watched it again, but I feel a little bad that I don't love it.
I like watching a movie a second time because then I notice stuff that I missed the first time while sorting out plot and characters and stuff, but this one still remains on my "good but my my faovurite" list.
A friend was just telling me she hadn't seen it since it was in theatres and borrowed my DVD, so I was just thinking about "Black Panther" the other day.
This is the next one I need to watch so I was going to try to get in on the free show because why not get it in theater if you can, but it's either not happening near me or all the tickets were already claimed. I don't see a way to get on the backup list so it's probably the former.
