Game devolopment positions!

I don't know if this is were this topic belongs, if not tell me and I will relocate it.

Here's the place for discussing music, plays, YouTube videos, and any other media that doesn't quite fit in the other sections of Harlequin Theatre.

I know... I can promote it! :P Since that's pretty much all I can do... but I have made background sounds for some of my games I've created.

Sounds interesting, but I'm already on the dev team for an MMORPG, and don't have time for another project right now.

I don't think making a 3d game is that easy with flash! I know a lot of c++ so I'm going to use it. I will probably be using one of a few game engines ogre realityfactory and irrlicht(probably not spelled right) Realityfactory don't require very much programming knowledge but the other to do.

I know some C++, and am investing in Poser 5 and Bryce 5 soon, which are good for development of enviroments for such games. (Which is actually what I'm purchasing them for, the development of my own game.)

I'll help in any way I can, I don't know much, but I'll contribute what I do.

In elementary school, one of my best friends and I drew out all the levels and enemies etc for an awesome game we were going to call "Ultra Ninja" or something like that. It was sort of a Ninja Gaiden/Strider hybrid, and all the enemies were half-dinosaur looking. This was back in the late 80's, early 90's, so it was basically going to be a simple side scroller. Tragically his step mom that knew computer programming and was going to help us ended up divorcing his dad and we never got to make our game. :(

What a sad story :(

and to think, you could have started a famous video game company...

That was totally my plan back in the day... though many have been lost I still have tons of mapped out levels for various game ideas. Though tragically 2D gaming is dead, anyway... :boohoo:

Yea Emulators are cool! Right now I wouldn't even be able to play my playstation games if it wasn't for them. My screen that I use to play it on busted.

Hey why is this topic located in the Harlequin Theatre now?

Edit - please try to avoid double posts. Thanks! - Catspaw

A mod probably moved it, thinking it would be better suited to here.

There's a really good MMO database out there somewhere, and they list a few.
