No power.

Well, I obviously have power here . . .

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

No power.

Post by Jennifer Doyle »

But there is NONE at my house! All over Tacoma the power is out! There are 40 MPH and higher winds blowing things into power lines, a HUGE tree was blown over. The entire base with all the roots and such were sticking up in the air!

It's crazy. And we're about 40 miles away at a friend's house for the night. They have power thankfully.

So ya, power outages. Not cool.

I had to drive in huge wind gusts last night... lots of fallen branches in some areas. Must be the theme of the week.

We had lots of wind here today, only about 15-20 mph, but that is on top of a high of 20 below ZERO! YUCK!!!

We were supposed to get 60 mph winds, but I was inside the whole time, so I don't know. I do know that we had a tarp (it was heavy) over our trampoline, and it blew off, which I find hard to believe.

*enjoys a fairly calm and cold evening*

Our power goes out randomly, however, so it doesn't exactly depend on the weather. :-$

We didn't personally lose power but the other side of town did. Just North of here a semi was blown off a bridge into the lake (driver was okay).

I don't like power outages. :noway: They mean that my dad has to go in to work. :(

Yes - he works for Dominion, formerly known as Virginia Power, as an Operations Manager. He organizes and sends out all the crews to work on the power lines. :D
