Babies

When was the last time you held one?

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Ah yes...time flies...

I think holding him was what traumatized me. ;)

Actually, it's because when I held him for the first time, his head tipped back over my arm for a moment, but I pulled him back up. Then my Dad took him away from me and said I could never hold him again...I ran away to cry in my room :mecry:

Didn't we have some fun, though? Remember when the platform was sliding into the fire pit and I said, 'goodbye.' And you were like, 'no, wait.' And then I was all, 'we pretended we were going to murder you.' That was great...

I believe I've only held a baby once or twice in my lifetime. :anxious: And that because my sister wanted me to see what it was like to hold a baby. :-k I felt like I was standing on banana peelings on the edge of a cliff holding a bag of eggs.

Yeah, that pretty much explains how I feel at first, but then I got used to it :D

Last month. The older sister of one of my best friends just had a baby about two months ago. My friend was babysitting so I got to hold the little guy...

I can't remember the last time I held a baby. :( I certainly held my now 8-year-old sister when she was a baby, but no other more recent baby holdings are coming to mind. I wanted to hold a baby at a November wedding I attended, but was too afraid to ask since I didn't know the couple that well, even if they were somehow related to me.

Yesterday, I got to hold my 3 month old niece :D , but not for long. I don't like it when they start to cry and I don't know what to do.

Yay! I get to add here! I got to hold a 3-week old little girl on Wednesday! \:D/ We're visiting my parents' house, and their neighbors' daughter just had a baby. She was soooo tiny! Only 5lb. 14oz. at birth, so now she's probably still only 8 or 9 pounds.

Other than that, an 18-month old today (daughter of my cousin) and a 3 year old every day!! :D

Held on December 23rd at family's christmas party. Abigail, is her name. A sweet new addition to our family. :D

She smiled at me a lot. Kids normally don't like me.

Depends what age you mean...my youngest sibling is eighteen months, and I hold her almost every day! :D Other than that, though, it was probably two or three months ago, when a family with a little baby visited. She actually fell asleep in my arms for a while! :inlove:

This topic is too same for hillingdale. It's getting moved to finnamins. \:D/

Hmm I honestly don't remember the last time I held a baby - even though I just went to a baby dedication and two parties for a friends older brother ... :anxious:

I hold my neice just about every day. Shes just a year and can't walk yet so mommy and daddy get tired of holding her all the time so she gets passed around quite a bit.

The last time... was about a week before Christmas, I was the adult running a five-kid childcare night for the church staff Christmas party.
