Portal
Woah, that is so awesome! I would seriously do that, if our computer wasn't so fried. Maybe I'll save it on a thumb drive or something until I get my own computer.Knight Fisher wrote:OK to win your undying gratitude. And your donations to either ToO team. And your donations to my campaign if you are on Campbell County. (Please oh please oh please.) http://ccmb.forum-motion.com/ Have a FREE COPY OF PORTAL!!!!! That's right. WHAT??? Gahhh, I really want Portal, but this computer is so slow. And I have no idea how to transfer games from computer to computer. *sigh* Well, I'd better get it now just to be safe.
Yes, definitely get it while it’s free! There’s a way to transfer it to another computer.

Why not? And your computer doesn't have to be able to run it. Just download it to it so you own it. And then you can download it to a different computer if you get one. You just have to download it now so you own it.Amethystic wrote:Steam won't accept my membership registration. The jerks.

That happened to me, it’s just because their username checker is broken. Your name is taken even though it says it isn’t. Keep trying different names and it will work.Amethystic wrote:Steam won't accept my membership registration. The jerks.
My brother said you don't even have to download it, just "buy" it, so then you "own" it, and can download it later when you can.

Use the chatroom! It's been active for a year, and most of you are missing it.

This game is just as awesome, if not more so, than I've heard. I didn't have an enjoyable experience at first, but I think that's because my resolution was set too high. This game is amazing!
It's been awhile, hasn't it?
When you’re destroying GLaDOS, her blue core is reading a cake recipe.
I was going to try to bake it, but I don’t have all the ingredients.

And now I want to know how you get the companion cube at the end.

Yeah, don't worry about downloading it. The good thing about Steam is that once you've bought something, you can access it on any computer that you have a Steam client on (even if you download it on another computer months later).
Also, Portal = AWESOME!

Well, I've found time to play the last couple of weekends, and it's been a blast. I'm on Test Chamber 18 on the moment, I believe. It was tough saying goodbye to my Weighted Companion Cube.
Don’t worry, 8 out of 10 Aperture Science engineers believe that the Companion Cube is most likely incapable of feeling much pain.Amethystic wrote:It was tough saying goodbye to my Weighted Companion Cube.

For once people started using chatspeak and improper grammar, their level of smartness was decreased by more than 500%. That room weirded me out a little. All those pictures with Companion Cubes pasted in.Amethystic wrote: *draws images of the Companion Cube on walls in hidden rooms behind panels to make self feel better*

You can't actually get to the cake. It was a lie. They used cheats.
