Monday Morning Scores:
KF-11
AE-11
Top-11
Ryder-11
SWA-10
Bookworm-8

Of the four tied Ryder and AE said TB. And KF and Top said IND. So I guess if you correctly pick the winner it comes down to the tie breaker. (Correct me if I am wrong.) So make your tie break score pick.

Tie Breaker Score Prediction: 34

Another thing we can do, if enough of you are interested, is a cumulative pool. I do this in real life too, it’s like a supplement to this weekly pool.
Anyone that wants to get in pays a one time fee and the person that has picked the most wins at the end of the season wins the pot.

I play this one along with the weekly one because this way every week counts when you do good.
For example, if you’re just doing the weekly pool, you either win or you lose. And if you lose, there’s no compensation at all. This can be very frustrating, especially if you only lose by one or two games, or lose on the tie breaker. You got so close, but you don’t win anything.
If you’re in the cumulative pool, those close losses aren’t in vain. They will be added up at the end of the season.

Usually you have to announce your intent to participate in this pool at the beginning of the season and can’t enter once it starts, but since I didn’t bring it up until now I’ll make an exception.

If anyone is interested in doing this along with this weekly pool, let me know. I can take care of that one since there’s nothing to do until the end of the season.
The entry fee would be $10.
If you want to do it, you don’t have to pay anyone anything now, I just need your name.
So let me know. But acknowledge that once you agree to do it you can’t back out.
The deadline to enter is this Saturday, October 8th.

Ok, I wanted to change to Tennessee winning. And I might be interested in the cumulative pot.

Oh, come on... you should know me better than that. I was actually going to pick 37 just so you know, (that's what I picked in my family's pool).

I would love to experience one week where I didn’t have an issue with NFL officials. I really would.
This time, they made two blunders on the same play! One was a typical ignorance of the rules, and the other was just an absurd action.

In the Packers/Falcons game, the Falcons kicked to a Packer that signaled for a fair catch, then tackled him when he caught the ball. Totally illegal. An official threw a flag, but after a conference announced it wasn’t for fair catch interference, which there was no penalty for, but it was actually against the Packers for ‘unsportsmanlike conduct’ for players on their sideline ‘coming onto the field’.

First, the no call.
The reasoning was that the fair catch was called for too late for the tackler to stop his progress and he hit him accidentally. However in the replay the signal is made while the Falcon is still at least 5 yards away, he has plenty of time to change direction. And even if he didn’t, it doesn’t matter. When a fair catch is signaled, you can’t hit the player. It doesn’t matter if it’s an ‘accident’, a rule is a rule.
But whatever, that kind of thing happens now and then. I can let it go. The other blunder on the play, not so much.

The officials flag the Packers for coming on the field? It was a punt! Of course they were coming onto the field, they were changing their special team with their offense! If it was some random player running onto the field to protest the flag, then yes definitely penalize, but that’s not what happened! So according to the officials, it’s unsportsmanlike conduct to follow the procedure of the game. Apparently we’re supposed to play the whole sixty minutes with the punt team on the field. Can’t send out the offense when we get the ball, that’s obviously a penalty. Atlanta players were coming onto the field too you know, they were changing their special team with their defense. They should have been flagged too.
