Round 2

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

V-lady, what version of Windows are you using? If you are using XP, what program has the icons at the top of the screen like that? *tries to hide lack of geeky knowledge*
Actually, it's just RocketDock that I'm using. \:D/

Windows: its the "prt scr" key and ctrl + v to paste it in some appropriate image location (e.g. Photoshop). Not sure if there's an autosave screenshot function in windows.

Mac: Cmd + shift +3 will save a copy of your screenshot to your desktop, I believe.

Irwin, I suggest you reinstall Windows. It has several black chunks spread throughout the screen. ;)I know very well why you put them there. I think it is a grand idea.

A couple of nice things about using Fences to keep track of my desktop icons: I actually have more icons than you see there. Placing your mouse over one of the boxes reveals a scroll bar. Double clicking on the desktop fades out and fades in the desktop icons, instead of having to use the right-click menu.

You can't see it here, but I also use launchy as my preferred program/location launcher.

The desktop background came from Zixpk, a particularly awesome website to get great high-def wallpapers. I've linked to it below.

The original image for that is actually deceptively small (Malcolm being 1280x800) but it scales up really well.
"Sonuna" Taranimak ("Sonuna" Sharkquill) has been content lately. She admired own very fine Bed recently. She talked with a parent recently. She talked with a friend recently. She had a good meal recently. She admired a fine tastefully-arranged Desk recently.
She is a citizen of The United States of America. She is a member of The State of Minnesota. She is a member of The Town of Odyssey.
"Sonuna" Taranimak likes Bauxite, Copper, Green jade, the color navy, cloaks, ballistas, cats for their aloofness and hydras for their seven heads. When possible, she prefers to consume Dr Pepper and ramen.
She lives at a relaxed pace. She tends to avoid crowds. She has a fertile imagination. She is completely disorganized. She is very distant and reserved. She tends not to openly express emotions. She needs caffeine to get through the working day.

My last background was rather colorless, so now I've gone to the opposite end of the spectrum, if you will.
