Do Re Mi

If there's something on your mind that just doesn't seem to fall into any of the other categories, well, it quite likely belongs inside Joe Finneman's marketplace. Think of it as a general store for general discussions!

Well I'm not in a choir or anything (church doesn't have one or else I would probably join!) but I love to sing! mostly hymns but also some gospel songs.

I usually just sing the melody, normally I'm just singing to myself so harmony would be kind of difficult :) but sometimes I sing harmony with my sister

I can sing bass or tenor depending on how high/low it is.

I used to be in our city's girl's choir, and then our school had a band. I sing mid soprano and play acoustic.

At first, I thought that this thread was going to be about "The Sound of Music"... :(

I'm sort of the same, except range usually doesn't matter. My higher tone isn't as good as my lower range. I always get a cold right before the annual music competition and then have to work to make it better. I sing in my schools choir and chamber choir.

Ummm... does accompanying a choir count? I've just had an accompanying stint with a choir. If I did join a choir (meaning I didn't), I'd be the bass.

Fun topic :)! I started singing in church choir when I was around five and have sang in school choirs throughout high school. I still LOVE singing/songwriting. It's definitely a passion of mine ^_^!
