Identify That Song!

It's... it's... ITS! It's the Identify That Song contest!

I have recorded videos of myself playing parts from various songs on guitar.
I will post a video. You then send me a PM with what you think the song is.
If you get it right, you will get a point. If you get both the song title and the artist, you get two points.
If you get it wrong, you won't lose any points, so take a guess.
If your PM arrives after I post the next song, I will not count your guess.
The person with the most points when this contest is over will receive $250. Second place will receive $100, third place $50, and you're guaranteed to get at least 1 dollar for participating.

Here is the first song:

You have two days until I post the next video to send me a PM with your guess.

2. Catspaw - 1
3. Irwin - 1
4. Monty - 1
5. shadowdog - 1
6. American Eagle - 1
7. Christian A. - 1

The melody has had so many artists I didn’t know which you wanted, so I took the safe route. ;)

Never heard the song, so that doesn’t count as a miss.

Same here... never heard it before. I can usually recognize old tunes, patriotic songs, and Christmas music, but very little of this contemporary stuff.

Nothing counts as a miss, you don't lose any points.

I know, I meant it wasn’t like I failed to identify it. Can’t identify something you’ve never heard. ;)

And that was Toccata and Fugue in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach.

This next one I don't think many of you will get. Oh well. Here's the next song!

Updated scores?

Here’s one of those amazing timing things that happen now and then:
The other night I was listening to “In All Things Give Thanks” and in a random comment the band director said they would have “practice for Toccata and Fugue”. I never caught that before, only now because I had it on my mind.

Hint:
It's part of a classic metal solo track featuring a groundbreaking type of playing.
If you can somehow get more people to try this contest, that could be nice. I may raise the 1st-place prize to $250 if more people participate.

I'd love to participate more, but I'm just not a music guy. ;) Oh well. You're a fine guitar player.
