Party Music

Post by Musical Shutterbug »

I'm planning on hosting a party in a couple of months \:D/ I'm the type of person who loves to have music playing in the background the entire time. Can any of you give me some great music recommendations? Preferably upbeat, fun, and lively songs.

Most of us are dancers, so if it's a song that is relatively easy to dance to, that's a bonus! :p

Abandon has some good dancey stuff. Maybe "Feel It In Your Heart" or some other stuff off their latest album.

pureNRG has some really good "dance party" type songs. Get Up, Are You Ready and It's All About You would be great. Crowder's Church Music- Dance[!] would be a really good one too.

She left many of us behind. She left us heartbroken. And though we cry now there'll come a time when we'll laugh. Because we'll see her again someday. We'll be with her in heaven. And when we go to heaven she'll be there to greet us. She'll be there to say "Welcome home." -From a poem that SnC wrote about her grandmother

Family Force 5 definitely. \:D/

Besides the songs Taps mentioned, you could also try the following:

From Business Up Front, Party in the Back:
"Kountry Gentleman"
"Drama Queen"
"Love Addict"
"Supersonic"

From Dance Or Die:
"Get Your Back Off the Wall"
"Rip It Up"
"D-I-E 4 Y-O-U"
"Radiator"

From Keep the Party Alive EP:
"Keep the Party Alive"
"Ghostride the Whip"

THIS.

And from their new album III, I'd recommend "Wobble" and "Paycheck".

Yes, Paycheck is pretty good, but Wobble is more of a dance song.
Oh, and also Get on Outta Here has a pretty solid beat.

Most of us are dancers, so if it's a song that is relatively easy to dance to, that's a bonus! :p
"Midnight City" by M83.
"Moombah" the Afro Jack Remix.
"Words" by the Givers.
"Utopia" by Yacht.
"Paradise Engineering" by Yacht. (These two by Yacht are a littlw weird, but very upbeat and catchy)
"Whale" by Yellow Ostrich.
Pretty much all of Tuneyards' songs.
Pretty much all of Chameleon Circuit's songs.
"Witchi-Tai-To" by Everything is Everything. (Again, a weird one, but still fun.)
Tugboat's HipHop Medley. (It's an 8-bit remix of many popular HipHop songs. It's pretty cool.)
And of course, "Sandstorm" by Darude

I have plenty more if you want it. I am the king of obscure and little known music. \:D/ \:D/ :D :D
