Yeah. I'm Baptist, but I may have different views... ;)

So as long as I feel comfortable answering, you may ask away.

Well could you expand on what you mean by different views?

Also is the church you currently go to associated with any specific Baptist denomination?

Do you believe that people can backslide once they're saved? Or is it "once saved, always saved." ?

I may not agree with widely-held beliefs associated with Baptists. ;)

I don't know... :anxious: Probably should though. But I want to say no.

Well backsliding isn't losing your salvation. I view backsliding as a form of rebellion, apostasy. Spiritual inactivity, or no spiritual productiveness. But you can't lose your salvation.

So... if I get truly, genuinely saved, and then a few years later I get angry at someone and kill them, am I still a Christian?

What is an example of a belief you differ from most Baptist on?

How do you feel about belonging to a denomination you don't fully agree with?

How did you come to attend your current church?

How often do you practice communion? Is it open of closed?

Yes.

I didn't say there were any, but I did say there might be some. ;)

I'm not sure how to answer that, based upon my previous answer.

Well, my family moved. :P 'nuff said.

I think it's every quarter. I think..., I wouldn't know, because when we do it, I always forget to notice if there are visitors participating. And I haven't asked anyone.

Yes.
What is the purpose of the 10 commandments then? God doesn't intend for us to obey them? Are they just the "10 Suggestions"?

Has your family always attended a Baptist church?

Is there a reason given for only taking it once a quarter?

We are supposed to obey them. But humans have a sin nature, and we disobey them.

I think so.

If there is a reason, I don't know.

What are some beliefs that make your church different from other Protestant churches?

Where does your church stand on ordination of women?

What does your church believe about the use of spiritual gifts?

Protestant meaning originating in the Reformation, not Catholic or Orthodox.

Do members of your church speak in tongues, prophesy, or do faith healing?

Eh. I wouldn't know, because I can't remember all of the beliefs of Protestants in the time. But I don't think there are differences. (i sound very un-educated oops sorry. :P)

That type of spiritual gift. lol. No. Well.. Some people speak other languages, but I don't think that's what you mean. ;)

No that's fine, that is what these threads are about to learn about other denominations. Check them out and learn.

That is not what I meant :P

How many services does your church have, and how many do you attend?

3 a week, all 3. ;) If I'm able to. If I'm sick or gone or something, obviously I wouldn't want to attend.
