Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Post by Laura Ingalls »

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! \:D/

As I posted last year, and who knows how many years before that, I love St. Patrick's Day. O:) I have Irish heritage and love celebrating holidays in general. My family all wore our green to church today, and since I was bringing a sweet dish to our church lunch, I made green velvet cupcakes and fruitcake with green candied cherries. \:D/

My sister made Irish soda bread to go along with our soup tonight...that was really good!

Did anybody else do anything Irishy today? :p

Whenever it's my turn to bring snacks for my Sunday School class, I usually bring sausage balls. However, I suggested to my mom that we make green sugar cookies in the shapes of shamrocks that she used to make for us when I was little. Needless to say, the change of pace went over very well, though we did have to clear up whether they were shortbread or sugar cookies. \:D/

Catspaw did! Various celebrating and physically mature leprechauns now frolic across the ToO. \:D/

I didn't do anything nearly as cool. Just wore a green shirt so that my siblings wouldn't pinch me. :p

Oh! I also made some Coconut Lime Floats tonight! \:D/ They were really good, I would definitely make them again. :P

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I forgot to wear green to church, but this evening I had to work, so I wore a green shamrock sticker and a beaded necklace. \:D/ Eventually I gave the necklace to a female coworker. I offered it because I had two green items and she had none. I meant to hand it to her, but she tilted her head towards me, so I put it around her neck. That was a little much. ;)

Exactly. \:D/ I waited and hoped for an opportunity to use that line, but none materialized. :(

I re-heated leftovers and wore navy blue. :(

But the red hair makes up for it. :x

I loved being able to tell the kids in my sunday school class how St. Patricks Day came about. (but just barely, there was a lot of holes)

I was like, the only one in our church who wore green.
