Anywayz, NPC stands for "None-Player Character," which is an acount controlled by "who-knows-who" who posts in Story Archs, or little random incidents like this one.
Thanks. And I have another question: What goes on in story archs? I've only been through the Christopher Londas story arch. Are all of them like that?

Oh. So now I'm really perplexed. What are story archs like?

They're board-wide events that happen once in a while. The ones we've had so far typically included NPCs giving clues for us to put together and figure out. In one of them, we had to solve clues to rescue the town from Bennett Charles(the NPC, not the user)'s iron grip. ...quite fun. :)

What Christopher Laundis one?
A story arch that was limited to the HSU, and therefore wasn't technicly a town-wide event.

Just like the Black Crisis only involved the Blackgaards (and a few outside allies and enemies), so it wasn't a boardwide game. That, and the fact that a lot of our warfare took place on our individual external clan boards... :-k
