Re: Things you have learned from Odyssey

"To be or not to be. That is the question. Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune...." (don't remember which one it's from, but I hear it in Edwin Blackgaard's voice, so it must've been from Odyssey. :) ) That is quoted by both Edwin and Malco...

Re: Things you have learned from Odyssey

What a great topic! I happen to have a list on this very subject. To clarify: these are facts I did not know before hearing on AIO. Things I Learned from Adventures in Odyssey First Othello is a play by Shakespeare and someone dies in it. -Do, for a Change "Donde esta el bano?" -The Cross ...

Re: Groundhog Day and Super bowl

I think a Super Bowl Party AIO giveaway is a fantastic idea. I'd buy some and give them away. We've had so many good sports themed episodes, but never a football episode. The closest was when Seth joined a football game with Nick in All Things to All People. Am I missing one? I think just a nice sli...

Re: Random Things That Remind You Of AIO

When I heard Hasbro's announcement that the iron was being replaced by a cat as one of the Monopoly game pieces, Marvin's voice came into my head: "Why an iron?" "Why a thimble?" "If you're an iron, you electrocute everyone in the swimming pools at the hotels." "Yo...

The Mortal Coil

Last weekend I listened to The Mortal Coil for the first time in years and I felt like I was experiencing the story for the first time. It's amazing how that story takes on a whole new meaning now that I'm an adult and have experienced death of family members. It also made Whit more human to me. I'v...

Re: Alphabetical play list

I now know that the X in Xmas refers to a greek letter but I grew up listening to ignorant but well meaning Christians say "people who do that are putting an X in place of Christ". I know that is not true, but it something I remember every time I see it, therefore I always write out Chris...

Re: Album 57 is currently being recorded!!

^^ That was kind of what I thought. The title of the episode was Life Expectancies, formerly known as Ripples. They indicated that it was a difficult script for Katie (as Connie) and that if they said the name of an actor it would give too much away. It couldn't be Mitch, because they've already bro...

Re: Album 57 is currently being recorded!!

The facebook updates have been really fun to see/read today. It is kind of frustrating to get so excited when we won't get to hear them for several months. I'm glad they don't do this every time.

Favorite Episode & Quote

I'm putting together my Christmas newsletter and decided to include a list of favorites from the year--including favorite AIO episode and AIO quote. I listed Child's Play as my favorite episode and for my favorite quote: "What are we talking about?" "A wedding cake shaped like a pig.&...

Re: Mail Carrier Gift

Thank you, KBT, great list. You're not obligated to give a gift to the mail carrier, it's just a nice gesture that some do. Last year was the first time I've done it, and then only because Linda (colleague at work) handed a gift card to me and said "this is for your mail carrier, I have one for...
